Came here to enjoy a coffee - which was quite mediocre for the price. It's quite apparent that the owner favors her regulars alot - she did not even smile at me when I was ordering but did so for her regulars - are they more special because they come more often? Am I not a valued guest because it's my first time? Read some other reviews and it seems like im not the only one who felt unwelcomed. But it's okay, this will be my last time anyway. Far better coffee elsewhere with a more inviting atmosphere.
Edit: Owner responded with 'Find smiles elsewhere' as you can see below. She proved my point that she couldn't care less about her customers and is prone to childish outbursts (She posted my review on the cafe's official Instagram). I just want to say that I was smiling and kind to her when I walked in but she had an annoyed face the entire time when I was ordering. My kindness was not mirrored.
Honestly, disgusting behavior from the owner to post my review but also shows the kind of petty person she is. I’d understand if a Minijobber had that attitude but being an owner, you should really take constructive critiscm better, which you don’t. Sometimes you should do some self-reflection instead of thinking the problem is everyone else’s. Mediocre overpriced coffee and food, messy café interior, the worst attitude I’ve seen, I won’t be shocked if your business shuts down in a couple years. I wish I could give zero...
Read moreCafe Magic Bitte is one of those places that would make any corner in town a little bit better. A brave, young Korean barista with experience from several parts of a coffee world larger than the one Berlin provide, has opened a genuine coffee bar on a corner near Bayerische Platz.
In a little hole in the wall, with a few tables inside and a few more outside, she treats all her customers as if they are family and treats every cup of coffee she makes with the most care.
With music calm enough to allow a conversation and loud enough to add to the vibe the place offers a peaceful hideout to anyone in need of a break or to sit down with a friend for a chat.
The menu offers a few small dishes, including the pastries you would expect to find in a coffee bar. Besides this there are also a couple of specialties like a grilled sandwich with kimchi and a brown cheese ( a sweet cheese from Norway ) croffle, both simple and spectacular at the same time.
I strongly recommend you to drop by. If you are a kind person you will for sure...
Read moreThis is my second visit to Magic Bitte and it really feels magical to spend some time there! It feels like a small but elegant, sophisticated and cozy place.
Hailey does precisely everything to keep the place in order, aside from being a sweetheart and being super proficient at mastering coffee. Hailey's skill is impeccable, both in coffee preparation and advice; you don't have to be an expert on the subject because she's already there to advise you which drink is right for you based on your taste.
The service, location, and products are simply out of this world. Definitely one of my favorite...
