Unbelievable waitress ! I got exactly the same situation as another commenter Kristóf Kozma. We arrived at 21:30 as a group of 3 people. Just one of us wanted to have a cake and coffee. The waitress told us with an annoyed and agressive face : just that ?! I asked : is there a problem? She said: well its very unusual to just order this, it would be better if everyone order something, you know, it is not worth for our business,etc. The restaurant and terrace was half empty. Pretty schocked to hear this, totally not client oriented. It is a total NO GO to act like this. First rule in the restaurant industry: never say such things to a client, even if you think them! Every client is worth your attention and politeness.

EDIT * since the owners has answered: the whole conversation I had with the waitress was in german, which I speak fluently ! There was definitly no misunderstanding in this situation, otherwise I wouldn´t have commented. As the place is pretty touristic, and as the owner says itself, there are a lot of internation customers, thats why I decided to write it in English, to be sure everyone...

There are WAAAY more better alternatives to this place in that area!

Nothing vegan in F’Hain is already a red flag They offer the ultra basic old school Italian food for Germans (and I am Italian talking about an Italian restaurant, just fyi) and they use very cheap products. My pancakes were so sad: the toppings was a bunch of pieces of canned pineapple! We got the breakfast after 40 minutes (even if only half of the tables were occupied). They charge 80 cents for vegan milk alternatives. For that price they could have bought an entire bottle! It’s 2024 honey… I tipped and said “16€” but she charged 17€…that was the cherry on the cake.

The staff is nice but the place is...

Staff were friendly and helpful and their beer selection was good. My friends said their food was great but my schnitzel was thin, dry, and the breading was sliding off. Not the worst I've ever had but wasn't worth what it cost. Would recommend to get a burger or potato platter instead.

Another small thing is that their outside area is covered, which is great in the cold but the server didn't mention it was a smoking area. Normally I don't mind but the folks next to us were having some kind of chain smoking competition and the plastic covering the patio and keeping the cold out was also keeping the smoke in. My clothes smelled like an ash tray after that. Keep to the inside seating area if you want to...
