Lemongrass | Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Berlin

Edited: If you’re an Asian, you might not come here. Because the girl Asian waitress here won’t welcome you.

The waitress was so rude. I came here for Padthai because it is good here but I don’t understand why she needed to act like that.

Ok here is the situation, I came here with my baby with the stroller. When I arrived I asked for a table for one person. As the day was so hot and sunny, so people prefer to stay under the shade meaning that the tables for 2 people were occupied. The only table was available was for 4 person. What she did was raging separating the table from for 4 to 2 for me and “threw” the menu on the table. I was like.. do you really need to be so rude?

Until I asked her for the bill, I paid, she gave me the change and left, no goodbye no thank you. But for this is acceptable but honestly for above I mentioned, I have no idea why was that happening?

I didn’t come here to aske for free food, I paid, so at least try to give the best service for your customers please.

So if you appreciate foods then you better If order take away or worse case go somewhere else if the people here doesn’t welcome you.

The food was good, which justifies the 2 stars. However, I cannot say the same about the table service. The arrival of the food was slightly delayed but in all fairness, not more than I have waited at other restaurants.

What I cannot justify is the treatment towards some customers: when asked for a glass of tap water, the waitress denied that you offered such a service. Odd, considering bottled water is really expensive and I've always had the chance to get a glass of tap water with my drink anywhere I went in Berlin, but we accepted. It was surprising and shocking to see though, roughly 30 minutes later, that another waiter had brought to another customer the tap water we asked for, and when asked, brought it to us too without any problems. The water itself wasn't the problem, it just didn't sit well with me how it is allowed to treat customers in different ways.

On top of that, kindness wasn't offered to one of my friends either when asking the same waitress where the restroom was at the end of the meal.

If you don't mind the service (might just have been a bad day for all I know), the food is pretty good and the prices are absolutely fair, especially considering the generous...

I used to come to this restaurant a few years ago regularly today I was in and I want to have some Thai food when I went down I realized how heavy the smell was inside. So I sat outside. The shop wasn’t very busy. The waitress took sometime to bring the menu to me (5min, empty shop). And she was frowning and this vibe “what do you want,he?” I ordered my food and it took forever to come. When I asked her about it she just made a hand wave “yeah yeah it will come “ I had the impression she might have forgotten about it. The food came and it was damn salty. Way way too much salt. I could not get a hold of anyone so I attempted some nibbles here and there and left more than the half on the plate. And when paying I told her it was way too salty. She said nothing. Not an apology, god forbid a voucher or not charging me. She got extra grumpy when I did not tip her. So folks, I say meh, don’t got there. The hood has lots of places...
