Saturday and Sunday they serve feijoada. This is the third feijoada I try in Berlin, and it's the best one so far. Price is high (18€) and the portion is modest to small, but it tastes like real feijoada. The caipirinha was correctly made and had the right amount of liquor, quite traditional, definitely worth it. No wonder so many groups of Brazilians bringing their German friends to try the food. We arrived around 2pm and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table for 2, on a Sunday. We also tried the "pondji queijo" and it is also the correct recipe, spot on, delicious. Looking forward to visiting again, maybe on a Friday to try the moqueca, which I suspect it will not...
Read moreWhat a fantastic find in Neukölln! Pondji is the real deal – the moment we arrived and saw the place packed with Brazilian guests, we knew we were in for something authentic. Despite the crowd (and a waiting line!), we were seated quickly. The staff were warm, fast, and genuinely friendly.
The food? Fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with love. And the drinks – wow! The caipirinha is something else – one sip and you’re instantly transported from grey, rainy Berlin to a sunny beach in Brazil.
Great atmosphere, honest prices, and top-tier quality all around. I’ll definitely be back....
