Me and my two other friends (3 women) were harassed all night long by the owner. we almost called the police but as we didn't speak german we didn't. a lot of people defended us and in the end we left.
This man was on the other side of the table, and he started talking to my friend, cutting our conversation several times.
(I already realized that a young girl (i dont know if she works there or they were acquaintances) was saying goodbye to him and he was grabing her writs and she was pulllin to leave).
After a while my other friend went to get a beer and when she came back she sat down facing us so that this man would not bother us anymore and we told him we no longer wanted to talk to him. Then he started tapping her on the shoulder, raising his voice, drawing us a picture of a naked woman, and started saying why didn't we want to talk to him if he was being nice.
We went twice to tell the waiters that this person was bothering us, and they told us they couldn't do anything because he was the owner. Luckily at the next table a girl started to tell him in German to stop because it seems that "please would you stop it" was something he did not understand. Then other people from another table sat down with us so that this person could not come near us. They had to sit right next to us, because the guy really had the necessity to do physical contact with us. Still this person came every two minutes to keep saying that he was being very nice and that he could touch anyone he wanted and also started to touching them.
We are VERY GRATEFULL to all the people who defended us even though this guy was the boss. Eveyone there started to feel absolutly unconfortable and very sorry for what was going on and more people started pushing him away from us. We left since this guy kept coming. We really we cannot believe this happened. He was so persistent that it lookeed super unreal.
Yes, beer is cheap, if you want to risk having a man holding your arm and sucking his lip cringingly...
Read moreYou can already hear the chatters and the laughter the moment you walk in; typical Neukölln bar filled with life and people every hour of the day. The place is cozy, there are books everywhere and things left behind by people, memories and stories. We choose a table by the bookshelf in the smoking area after ordering our beers and sat down. It was only empty table there even though it was a Monday evening. English, German, and other different languages can be heard all around us, it felt like everyone is a regular, but then again we even felt that too because of how cozy the place feels. The other room, where no smoking allowed is a bit quieter, it's mostly people working on something or just enjoying a beer and relaxing on the couch...
Read moreSuper relaxed bar that is set up like a big living room. Good place to meet up with your friends and get a beer (very good prices) in a comfortable setting that is usually on the quieter side. Lots of tables in the smoking room where people set up and hang out all day doing work on laptops or reading. The big non-smoking room also has tables, couches, and chairs for meeting, hanging out, and just chilling. They periodically show movies on a big screen with a projector. Very cool neighborhood hangout in Neukolln, within five minutes walking from Rathaus...
