When it comes to experiencing authentic German cuisine in Berlin, Mittmann German Restaurant stands out as a hidden gem that truly deserves recognition. My recent visit to this establishment was nothing short of a gastronomic delight, and I am excited to share my thoughts in this review.
From the moment I stepped inside Mittmann, I was transported to a cozy corner of Germany. The interior is charmingly rustic, with wooden beams, Bavarian decorations, and soft, warm lighting. It's the perfect setting for a relaxed and immersive dining experience. The background music added to the ambiance, creating a soothing atmosphere without being overpowering.
The service at Mittmann German Restaurant was ok. The staff was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu but messed up my order.
Considering the quality of the food, the prices at Mittmann German Restaurant are reasonable. It's not a budget-friendly option, but you get excellent value for your money given the authentic German experience and top-notch cuisine.
In conclusion, Mittmann German Restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. It's the kind of place where you can savor not just delicious food but also the rich culture and history of Germany. Whether you're a seasoned lover of German cuisine or a curious newcomer, Mittmann is a must-visit destination that will leave your taste buds...
Read moreVisiting Berlin, this place was close to our hotel. The food was Ok, portion sizes were smaller than comparable restaurants in the same block. The service was ok until this happened: waitress comes to our table and says the restaurant is closing; it was posted on Google the closing time was still 2 hours away, so we were surprised. Even more shocked when the 4 people at the table next to us were going to order dessert and it was denied by the waitress. She said the chef decides to close early when there are no many customers in the room. She came back to our table 1 Minute later and verbally tells us the bill amount: 43 euros, no paper receipt, nothing in writing. We give her a 50 euro bill and she disappears with the change. We had to go over the bar and ask her to give us back the change. It’s for us to decide if we leave a tip or not. We did leave a small tip to her but we left with a bitter taste and the certainty that we would neither come back to this place, nor recommend it to anyone. This is not how you treat customers, let Alone tourists who come to your city. If you’re in the area, you’ll find other restaurants where the owners are friendly and...
Read moreSometimes when you don't know the language and the place doesn't know English, a smile, and Google translate is a god send. We noticed the restaurant between our way to the hotel. It looked cozy and looked like German home cooking. The quaint rustic restaurant was busy the night we went. The waitress which looked like the owner gave us a quick nod to tell she saw us as she was delivering some yummy looking food to a table. We waited by the bar. She led us to a corner table and German menu. Thank goodness for Google translate. It was enough to figure out the menu and also to say Very good once the food was delivered. She gave us a great smile. Thumbs up and another beer! We certainly knew our schnitzel was being made as we can hear the pounding from the kitchen. What came out of the kitchen really did feel like home cooking. We haven't had a bad meal so are in Berlin and this is...
