Are you looking for a place with lots of fancy food names to Google first and ready for a tiny portion only to feel hangrier in the end? Try here. You’ll get a menu with some options that openly say “the food is so little that we suggest getting 2 per person to feel full”. You will think, wow, that’s rich. Do not expect resonable pricing. All those options start from ~12 Euros so here you are, hoping to feel full: starting from 25 Euros per person, plus the drinks. I got Broccolini which is literally 4 pieces of broccoli panned and salted with grated cheese on top and some cream on the side. That’s it. We also tried the rhubarb cake, which was ok, but please grasp the idea while ordering: this is just a slice of cake, with rhubarb: 6 Euros. Nothing makes you full here and you ask yourself: how did I end up in here? Your newcomer fancy expat friends are to blame. The experience was unsatisfying and bland, so much so that we just went to another venue to order proper good food: just around the corner there are many cafes and breakfast places where you get good food for a very reasonable price. The owners will explain how they have already written down on the menu that the overpriced options are so small that you should have ordered two of them per person and that they pay more attention to the taste and quality of the food that you end up feeling simply hungry. Fair enough. Definitely not my suggestion for a brunch weekend. One star for the good weather and one star for the absolutely kind and friendly service. Sometimes it’s only the service that can change the whole place and Sorrel should know that their personnel is doing the absolute best they can to keep the...

The food at this restaurant was good, though not exceptional. The flavors were enjoyable and satisfying, especially in some of the dishes.
However, the service and overall experience fell short of expectations. Our evening took an unfortunate turn when we found ourselves waiting for our wine, which we had to remind the staff about multiple times. For a restaurant of this caliber and price range, I anticipated a more attentive service that goes beyond simply placing the wine bottle and glasses on the table.
Regrettably, the disappointment continued as our filet arrived cold. When I raised this concern, the explanation provided was that cold food can result from delays in service. From my perspective, if this is a known issue, it should be addressed promptly to avoid such situations.
Furthermore, the offered compensation for the inconvenience was a modest 10€ discount, which felt insufficient considering the circumstances. While I understand that mistakes can happen, it's the way they are handled that truly reflects the quality of service. In this case, the resolution could have been handled with more finesse – a complimentary drink or a more thoughtful approach would have been appreciated.
In summary, while the food was good, the lackluster service and the handling of incidents took away from what could have been a more enjoyable...
Read moreObsessed! Food is very flavorful and dishes are creative and healthy. If I could afford to, I would eat there every day. Love the fennel dish despite not even really liking fennel. Not the cheapest brunch place but absolutely worth it.
Three small points for improvement: I went there twice and both times the waiter forgot a drink we had ordered. In addition, the first time they ran out of the burrata which they currently serve as a starter and said they could make the same dish with buffalo mozzarella. I specifically asked if the mozzarella was ripe and soft on the inside because otherwise I would have skipped the dish and the answer was yes. Sadly, it wasn't. When we tried the dish again with the burrata, it was absolutely yummy. Would either make sure I have the right mozzarella or not serve the dish like this. In regards to the recommended number of dishes both written on the menu and recommended by the waiter, I would say it's only correct if you eat a lot. Otherwise you'll probably be fine ordering less especially if you also get the bread (which you absolutely should, one portion is perfect for two people). We had two small plates, the burrata and the bread for a two person lunch and were full. I also enjoyed their home made chai latte and can't wait to try the...
