No longer meets our expectations. Have been coming here for the last 3 years and it is sadly no longer the place it used to be. Prices have gone up and service is catastrophic. Went there this morning to go get breakfast and tables and menus were not even cleaned or disinfected, considering Corona times, not serious about health and safety at all. Took long for waiter to bring us menus and acknowledge us even being there, hot chocolate needed to be sent away the first time around because it was not prepared properly and there were still lumps of unmixed cocoa inside the glass. Second of all the Acai Bowl no longer has blue berry puree in it but blueberry johghurt. We found this out because when we ordered it, it had blueberry johghurt in it and the waitress told us the menu had changed bit we did not noticed because the menus they are giving out still are the old ones and not the updated ones. Throughout our stay several people left because they were not acknowledged when sitting down or were told by staff that they are to busy to take care of them, which is a definite no go coming from a hospitality background. Lastly when we payed, the waiter was extremely unfriendly because we did not tip her. She didn't even say goodbye to us and thank us for coming by. Totally unprofessional given the circumstances, and even while we were paying, a guest came to our table to tell the waitress that her tea was cold, so we are clearly not the only ones who are dissatisfied and disappointed. Overall, I can no longer rate or recommend this place because it no longer is what it once was, which is sad given what it used to be and how friendly the staff used to be and how good the food used to be. And given the fact that Corona regulations are completely ignored, not good given the...

Reasonably priced, comfortable atmosphere, superb selection of breakfast foods and treats, and a very friendly staff. Each visit, I had scrambled eggs (ruhreier) with ham (mit schinken) and a few cappuccinos. The eggs were perfectly made and came with about eight different selections of fruit as well as a small salad. The food was equally impressive all three visits.
If you don't speak german (I try my best and usually manage to order and ask for things in the common language here), the few servers I heard speaking did speak english. One of them kindly explained to another patron, in English, the menu options.
The one thing I didn't like was that after I received my food each of the three times, not once in a total of about two hours (across the three trips) did anyone offer to get me any more drinks or to have me pay before I asked for it. This is maybe a cultural difference, as I've had to wait long periods of time at other restaurants, but I have been to plenty of restaurants, too, where servers actually checked on patrons. I did see one of the servers give a good deal of attention to a couple of pretty American girls - so if you're one of those, you'll probably get better service.
All in all, I would definitely...
Read moreVery delicate cousine place with options for vegetarian dishes, meat, or fish.
I had two dishes, one vegetarian dish and one dish of fish.
The vegetarian was a nice armony of flavours with a diced mixture of aubergine, gurk, onion, other vegetables, and citric juice.
A nice cold mixture combined with a grill lettuce salad.
The fish dish was a tuna tartar that as well was diced and combined with a grilled lettuce salad.
Both dishes were a great option!
Very good elaboration and quality of the products they work with.
The dishes came with a big portion of two different types of bread, brown german bread or white, and a delicious cheesy dip!
Good prices for the location of this business and the type of cousine they offer.
The surroundings of this restaurant are some of the most important historical streets of Berlin, you won't hesitate to visit this place!
I strongly recommend you visit Strandbad Mitte if you are in this area of Berlin...
