Even with the massive number of places that serve brunch in Berlin, this place in Bergmannkiez is maybe my top 3 brunch venues in all of the city. This opinion is not unique, and so as a result, it is extremely busy, especially on a Sunday. The long queues outside might put you off, but please have some patience, and be assured it is worth the wait. They have a very effective and efficient waiting list system in place, maybe the best in all of Berlin, and the waiting times are not that bad. For example, we were 8th in the list for 2 people, and we only waited maybe 20 minutes. Once sat down. The service is right at the top of the tree, and some much more expensive establishments in Berlin could take note here. The food and coffees are of an equally high standard. The cappuccino was excellent, and the Big Breakfast (should be renamed Very Big.....) was probably my favourite breakfast anywhere. Not super cheap, as it was €55 for 2 people for 2 mains and 2 coffees, but quality like this does not now or has ever been cheap I am afraid. WiFi is great, and although I have not been there in the week, it may be less busy and would be a great place to chill for a while. Cannot recommend this enough.

Very cool place with lovely and relaxed atmosphere. We had to wait 10 minutes to get our table but the staff was kind and there was a designated area with benches where you could wait so I felt they were very organised. The staff is super cute and smiley. The menu has some very curious options that you can only find here, but still keeps a couple classics on the menu. I’ve tried the breakfast bun and the eggs were perfectly soft and creamy and the bun was crunchy. I suggest giving a try to their drinks / juices, I’ve tried the watermelon lemonade which tasted delicious. the vibe is very local and cool, it’s nice to look around and feel the Berliner youngsters vibe. Me and my friends loved it here. Also, on a Saturday come to brunch and then you can have a walk around the Saturday street market and see the gorgeous gothic church just next to the brunch place. We would have loved to have a sweet brunch option such as pancakes or similar to share as a dessert so maybe I would suggest adding one option of this kind for the brunch lovers who do not stop at 1 dish just like me and my friends. Overall, this place is a must and everyone should try it❤️

One of the best brunches I’ve had in Berlin so far. Two Trick Pony has a small, simple yet innovative menu. The hearty dishes and homemade drinks are carefully crafted. I had the Eggs on Rye which is far from its boring sounding name. The dish is the most creative adaptation of an Eggs Benedict I’ve had to date. A well balanced dish with delicious toasted rye bread topped with perfectly cooked eggs (luscious runny yolks), lots of interesting greens, a generous drizzle of silky hollandaise that serves as a dressind and to conclude, a topping of walnuts for crunch and meticulously halved grapes to add sweetness. Genius! I also had their homemade elderflower shrub which was floral, tangy and refreshing on a hot summer day. Absolutely love that they have shrubs on their menu! The dishes are on the pricey side but absolutely worth it given the quality of ingredients and preparation. The bi-lingual staff was very friendly, attentive and approachable. My sever noticed that I dropped my knife and immediately got me a new one without being promoted. I can’t wait to try their other dishes!

Edit: after being a guest here for years I unfortunately had to change my review from great to horrible. Today we were the first in line and all seats were free. They told us that our stroller would be in the way and they didn’t know where to seat us, eventhough there was plenty of space to all sides and everything was empty, so he told us to take a seat in the sun. After I explained him that it was too hot for a baby in the burning sun - and also without a baby I didn’t want to sit in the exposed sun- we were finally allowed to sit at one of the 20 empty tables. After we had ordered two matcha lattes, a juice and two cakes we were then told that if we don’t eat something, we would need to leave the table for someone paying more. I told the waiter that we just ordered cakes, juices and drinks and again were not able and also didn’t want to sit in the burning sun. He then said that we would need to leave or take a seat inside. Very sad that this has now also turned in one of those arrogant places without service. I don’t get why you open a cafe if you treat people like this. I would try to give everyone their best time, especially if they are willing to spend their money at my place. Unfortunately not going here again after being a loyal customer for years. But expensive prices and bad service is just not worth it. Very sad this has changed.

Lovely brunch place and great service! Drinks are a bit overpriced but the quality is...
