A canteen style restaurant where you choose food from the display, they serve it on your plate and you pay. Pretty basic ambience, but welcoming. The food itself, which is all vegetarian, is very good with a home made feel to it because they kitchen is right there on the other side of the counter. They make fresh squeezed fruit juice on demand, none of the bottle stuff. I have been here three times and the food is consistent in taste. The variety is wide as well as overall quite healthy without being greasy. Almost all of their offerings are of the baked kind. On the flip side, the service during lunch hour is slooowwww. Only one person plating your order and another person warming it up. They seem to have all the time in world. Based on my three experiences, if you have 8 people in front of you waiting their turn, then expect 20 min of wait time. But they service with a smile which is good. Overall it’s a pleasant place to sit and eat. The last time my friend and I both had the Kleiner Teller, each with 2 main dishes, couscous and a fresh bean salad. Between the two of us we sampled 8 different things. Each Kleiner...
Read moreA very nice restaurant offering vegetarian food. The food ist already cooked. You have to choose a small, middle or large sized plate. On that depends how many portions of the about eight different dishes you can choose for your plate. For a middle sized plate I paid 7,40€ and was allowed to choose three dishes. After choosing the dishes for your plate I was asked whether I want to have rice added for free. Then the plate was heated in less than two minutes. After heating you can choose one of different salads added for free. You can buy a salad-only plate in a similar way for lesser money of course. Regarding the drinks they offer Bio-Zisch, Bionade and stuff like that. I don't remember if they offer alcohol. They food ist awesome tasty. The only 'bad' thing: you have...
Read moreGood vegetarian food with a special concept: One picks from a selection of dishes and the staff then puts it in the microwave to heat it up. One can choose between a small plate (1 dish plus rice), medium plate (2 dishes and rice) or a large plate with 3 dishes and rice. In addition, there are a few salad dishes to choose from which are included in the plate price. All tasty and good.
One drawback: Microwaves tends to heat food unevenly and so two people in our party ended up with one dish on their plate piping hot (tortellini), while the other was still rather cold (vegetarian lasagna). That could be optimized.
Otherwise, prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. Good people watching...
