People working there are really nice and friendly. This is the only good comment that I can say about this place. I was there with five friends and four of us ordered a special combo for four people that includes meat (main meal), eight side dishes (two each person), dessert and raki (turkish spirit) plus we ordered a bottle of red wine to share with the other two friends. Basically I paid 35 euro for having a quantity of meat that we had to cook by ourself on a grill on our table and this wasn't enough for two people when it supposed to be for four. We literally ate three cubes of meat each person plus we shared two chops in four, both chops were more bones than meat. The desssert at the end was pathetic...a dish with a small ball of vanilla ice cream in the middle with four spoons (no sorry six...in case we wanted to share that little ball also with the other two). We went out and we literally smelt a lot of grill. The day after I didn't feel good and another friend also had problems with stomach. Also the other two who ordered different things complained about their food. Definetly a place to avoid and also the worst where I have ever been in Berlin. It was like been robbed wit a shotgun for 35 euros. Guys...turkish community is the largest in Berlin and the city is crowded of REAL Turkish bbq where you get a lot of very good meat paying between 10 and 15 euro and some also 6 or 7. PROPER Turkish bbq are something different..this looks like more a place that pretend to give you a kind of turkish food with hype/hipster vibes. In according with our experience deifnetly it's a...

Best food we ate in Berlin! It’s a bbq style Turkish restaurant! You have to make reservations!

Location: It is located along Hasenheide. The interior is ok but we were seated outdoor which is much better so the smoke of the food does not go to us.

Service: Amazing staff! It’s only 2 of them but they manage to take care of us while we dine in.

Food: we ordered the set menu for 2. It includes 3 mezze, salad, mixed plate of meats, dessert and drinks. 3 Mezze that we choose are HUMUS: for real the best humus ive tasted! It has sesame seeds on top and it just divine! ROKALI HAYDARI: Oh this one is so creamy! It has feta cheese, yogurt, arugula and red peppers! Perfect for the bread. PASTIRMALI MANTAR its my least favorite, reminds me of eggplant lasagna, it was okay. The meats that are included on the set menu are lamb, chicken, marinated chicken and beef. They are all good cause we make sure we grill them good! The salad and rice that comes with the set menu is very tasty as well, we finish everything. Lastly for dessert we chose IRMIK HELVASI: it was the best dessert, im not sure what it is but the sweet sandy texture with the vanilla ice cream was so good! I can eat the whole thing!! Btw there is a side condiment that is really really good, not sure whats on it but sprinkle it to the meat and it will taste magnificent!

Price rating: 8/10 its on the pricey side but its worth it because everything was good!

We will definitely come back here when we are in Berlin! Good food, nice staffs and...

Avoid This Place at All

If you're looking for a dining experience ruined by disrespectful staff, unprofessional attitudes, and an environment oozing entitlement, this is the place for you.

From the moment we walked in, it felt like the staff were doing us a favor by letting us eat there. They were dismissive, rude, and seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than serving customers. When we finally got someone’s attention, they treated our questions about the menu like an inconvenience.

The food? Barely passable. For the prices they charge, you’d expect something more than bland, uninspired dishes that look like they were thrown together in a rush.

But the real problem here is the people. The staff act like they’re above the customers, and the general atmosphere feels toxic. Even the management seemed completely uninterested in addressing concerns—rolling their eyes when politely approached about an issue.

Dining out is supposed to be a pleasant experience, but this place left a sour taste in every possible way. Save your time, money, and dignity and go somewhere else.

As you can see from their answers, they continue to be disgraceful and disrespectful.

Climbing out the door? Too bad. We should not expect much from people like you who have lost their humanity. The clearest proof of this is the lack of interest in our face.

We still see that your business is managed by a handful of disrespectful people. Halwn your food is very bad, service is...

Perfect dinner for me. Staff is competent, helps you if you have doubt about meat cooking times, the meat is juicy and tender, the environment is interesting with this mix between an industrial building and traditional Turkish. The barbecue experience is fun and food delectable. The meze choice is ample and shame with the menu you can pick only 3 with the menu for 2 (but it’s more than enough to get full!!!). I would have wanted to try them all. The menu for 2 people includes a drink (beer, raki, water or soft drink), 3 meze of your choice, a tray with chicken thighs, chicken breast, lamb (so goooood!), and beef, a very refreshing salad, rice, and bread with refills. In addition a desert to share. Mum and I had the baklava with ice cream but was a huge portion (and very good!). Tea at the end of the meal on the house, little nice gesture. I love this place and will come back soon. It’s probably even more fun with a bigger group. the bread is high and soft, grill it too so it becomes crunchy! So much love for this new discovery. I think the price for the menu is totally fair for the quality and service. You can also pick and mix meze for different prices according to how many you order if you are vegetarian or don’t love meat. Thank you to the guy with the curls and ponytail who served us for the care and professionalism.

I've been feasting at Fes for over 3 years. Actually, the first time I tried to dine at Fes was in December 2016 when I was visiting Berlin as a tourist. But to my disappointment, I was turned away at the door because the restaurant did not have any available tables. It was then that I realized how special this restaurant is. 3 years later, I am now an expat living in Berlin and Fes is literally in my backyard. It's no surprise that Fes is now one of my favourite restaurants in Berlin. For me, Fes is like eating Spanish tapas paired with Korean BBQ. So if you're into delicious mezzes (I mean, mouthwatering delicious) and high quality cuts of beef, chicken and lamb (Angus beef is my favorite), then this is the place for you. The best way to secure your table at Fes is by email. So make sure you make a reservation in advance (at least 2 weeks) if you want to be lucky enough to experience Fes.
