Warning: This is NOT authentic German food. I suppose the restaurant was taken over by a new (non-German?) owner or the cook was changed. I cannot explain this drastic change otherwise - the food lately was terrible, spices were off and the food was nothing I am used to in the typical German cuisine. Rotkohl was overspiced with cinnamon, roasted onions were almost raw and the meat was grossly undercooked. By the way, the cocktails were just as terrible - no crashed ice, cheap alcohol and overly sweet (you would think it isn't that hard to just stick to the recipe and make a cocktail properly). The weird thing was that the menu was in German but full of misspelling - already while ordering I thought this was very strange. Obviously, this is totally fine if you are not familiar with local German food (actually most people don't even think it's that spectacular) but why would you open or take over a German restaurant and offer German food in Germany if you have no idea how to cook it? The service was also not great. It took almost one hour to get our food and once it was served, the waiter forgot about the second dish for my partner, so we had to wait for his dish and let my dish get colder and colder. The prices are quite high - expect to pay approx. 15...
Read moreWe just had dinner at Wurscht & Knolle on a winter Monday, and after several weeks of traveling around Germany, this was definitely the best meal we’ve had. We ordered the goulash and roasted pork with Knödel, and everything was absolutely wonderful. The sauerkraut was great, but I must admit we devoured the sweet red cabbage that came with the goulash. The portions are very generous and really worth the price (which is quite reasonable). The spices and fresh seasonings were plentiful and of excellent quality. Truly delicious food. We didn’t have dessert because we simply couldn’t eat another bite.
We were served by Henrique, who I assume is the owner, and he was very kind. We also loved the atmosphere and the Pet Shop Boys playlist!
We’ll definitely be back – highly...
Read moreI order a delivery because I am not feeling good, I saw at Wolt that you offer chicken soup, perfect for my stomachache, I received the soup and the delivery guy told me: next time is better if you don't ask for soup. I opened the "package" and there were a lot of Spätzle, a lot, really, some carrots, and some pieces of chicken with pepper... NO WATER, NO BREW, THAT IS NO A SOUP. Please, sometimes people ask for delivery because they can not go out for some reason, if you are offering soups, please, get the right package for it, otherwise inform your clients by the phone that you do not have the right package and. you CAN NOT...
