Lovely Syrian Brunch Spot I recently had brunch with a friend at this small Syrian restaurant, and it was a really pleasant experience. The place had a cosy, relaxed atmosphere — simple but comfortable, and perfect for a quiet meal and chat. As soon as we sat down, the staff brought us water with slices of lemon, which was a nice and refreshing touch. The service throughout our visit was friendly and efficient. Everyone we interacted with was polite and helpful without being overbearing, which made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. The food was tasty and well-prepared, with a good variety of options. We especially enjoyed the hummus and falafel, which were fresh and flavorful. The bread came tasty, and everything was nicely presented. It’s clear that the dishes are made with care, and the flavors were nice. In terms of value, it was very reasonable — generous portions at fair prices. It’s not a fancy spot, but it offers great quality for the money. Overall, it was a lovely meal in a comfortable setting, with good food and friendly service. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable and enjoyable brunch experience.

It was my first time trying Syrian food, and I was excited to try new dishes! We ordered one plate Nr. 30, one plate Nr. 8, traditional Syrian mate tea, and Syrian coffee with cardamom. The dishes were delicious—not too salty—and the salad added freshness and balanced the whole dish. I loved all the food we ordered. Syrian mate tea is not my type of drink, but I enjoyed the experience of drinking from the traditional glass and metal straw. Syrian coffee was too strong and small, but it was served in a unique glass. Overall, I loved the food and the experience here.

My first meal in Berlin, and it did not disappoint! I had the meat variety platter which was recommended by one of the staff members, and everything was delicious! Not much English is spoken, but staff was friendly and accommodating. Meals were very filling and fresh. I enjoyed it so much I went back again a couple days later but got their vegetarian platter instead, which is equally as good as the meat. The yogurt drink had a lovely mint aftertaste which I love that subtle garnish taste. Highly recommend!

We regularly take our friends who visit us in Berlin to see the wall exhibit at Bernauerstrasse and then to Yarok for a meal afterwards -- and Yarok has never failed to deliver excellent food. We order large combination platters (a veggie one and a meat one) which serves a wide variety of tastes. We feel appreciated and like the specialty drinks (teas and cocoas) as well. The restaurant is not swanky --so don't expect glitz. It has a bit of a hole-in-the-wall feel and seating is sometimes limited forcing us to sometimes split our group into separate tables, but the food makes it worth it! The desserts are delicious as well --we usually take them "to go" and enjoy them on the road or at home. Yarok's food is so delicious and the five stars is awarded for their food which is fresh and prepared in a small kitchen in plain view. It would be nice if they had a bigger place, fresher paint, and a nicer bathroom (it's not necessarily 'romantic'), but you just can't beat their...

If you're looking for a food love affair that stands the test of time, Yarok is your babe. I've devoured their N°30 mix meat platter more times than I care to admit, and it never fails to make me a happy boy. It's a flavor explosion that leaves you satisfied, not broke, and surrounded by a nice staff. It's nutricious and filling too! It's honestly a win-win-win. I mean I'm no expert on Syrian cuisine, but if this is what it tastes like, sign me up. They recently renovated the space, and let's just say... well, maybe they should stick to cooking. Interior design clearly isn't their forte, but I appreciate the effort, I guess. After all I come here to eat, not for wall textures or inoffensive colours. In the end, Yarok has become my go-to spot for a reliably delicious meal. I'll keep coming back, not because I'm running out of options, but because sometimes you just want a sure...
