Princess Cheesecake — Restaurant in Berlin

If you are a cheesecake fan, you should visit Princess Cheesecake. Not only do they have a variety of choices for cheesecake, it also taste really good and balanced. The cakes are always made fresh and you can guarantee the same good quality every time. Staff are nice, however when the shop is packed it takes quite a while for them to get your order. They have a seating area inside and outside but no reservations as the place is very small and it comes on a „first come, first served basis“. Prices are a bit high, especially for the Petit four but I guess you can‘t get that good if it is cheap. You can order whole cakes in advance as their cakes tend to sell out fast. Of course, you can also get them in slices and have some tea or coffee along with it. They are also selling a mini cake, also available are Vegan Petit fours besides the cheesecake ones and jam/preserve. While slowly walking through the city, I stopped by this café and decided to take a break. The menu seemed to feature a lot of New York-style cheesecakes, so I asked the staff for something unique to the café. I ended up with the Königlicher Käsekuchen (German Cheesecake), paired with an espresso macchiato. The atmosphere was perfect, too, relaxed and slow-paced, the kind of peaceful weekend vibe you only find in Europe, perhaps only in Berlin. As for the cheesecake, it was delightful. It had just the right balance of moisture and crumbly texture, maintaining a satisfying density and a subtle, creamy cheese flavor. Expensive, 5 Euros for a mini cheesecake. Loved the beet root vegan cheesecake. The normal nonvegan chocolate cheesecake was okay. It didn’t melt in your mouth nor did it taste extraordinary. But the vegan beetroot was very good. Smooth texture, good flavor and good balance between sweet and tangy. I’m usually not a fan of beet root but this flavor was great! Wouldn’t come back to this bakery since it didn’t wow me but if I did, I would def get the beet root flavor again or try another one of their vegan flavors.
