This place is a good family run neighbourhood restaurant. Lovely and cozy decorated with perfect lightening inside and relaxing indian music in the background ( the music is in perfect volume - not too loud ).
I was impressed when I found out that a lot of the vegetables they are using are from the man’s garden ( I was asking where he got the nice green chillies and he showed me his cute garden with all the veggs ) All the dishes I had were fresh and nicely prepared. You need to tell them in advance that you like your food spicy because otherwise they give you the ‘german’ friendly version and we all know how wimpy a lot of germans here are with the spices … 😅 Highly recommend the garlic naan, garlic soup, bhatura, panir or mutton Kashmiri ( the lamb was very soft and tasty !) Also their self made pickles are very special and full of spices.
I don’t really understand the complains about the prices because since last year they have written on the first page of their menu that they are raising the prices to 1,50€ more due to inflation which is totally acceptable and really not that much in my opinion. Overall the prices are still good for this neighbourhood. ( mutton Kashmiri, aperol spritz, Alster and garlic naan for 25,50€ - if anyone expects a lower price than this should really reconsider the values of ethical work and where the food is coming from …)
Good for vegetarians...
Read moreWe have ordered through liferando, Chicken tandori Madras mutton Chapathi and mutton briyani. They sent chicken tikka instead of chicken tandoori. In madras mutton we don't get any flavour it was cooked only with tomato sauce. No seasoning nothing at all. Chapathi was too strecthy which we cant even tear it and there is zero salt in that. The briyani was very average with fewer mutton pieces in it. They have added too much food color in the gravy.
When we asked about the issue the shop keeper just blabbering we sent what we have received.he was not in mind to understand what we are saying and kept on hung up the call. We spent around 50euros which was utter waste. Our hard earned money just went to the garbage. Very worst bullshit response from the restaurant.
I don't even give you 1 star rating.
Shame...
Read moreDon't believe the positive reviews: they're probably fake. This is hands down the worst indian food i ever tasted. The drink came with a bug inside and the sauce looks like it had food coloring to mask how blend and watered down it was. The naan was likely bought ready/frozen and re-heated. Service was OK but uninformed about the menu: they answered all our questions but it turned out all their answers were wrong when the dishes arrived. I'm shocked how this place can still be running and with customers eating there. It's a pitty since I was always curious about this restaurant after walking past it so many times, and from the outside it looks like a...
