Zaher's Lounge - Café - Bar — Restaurant in Berlin

Drinks are OK - Pisco sour was not good at all. We arrived quite early to the bar & a friendly female bartender told us we could sit in the upstairs lounge even though they had reserved signs on the tables. She clearly said they are NOT reserved but if bigger groups come, they would kindly ask us to move to a smaller seat. We said sure. Then fast forward 30 minutes later this nasty worker in a white hoodie just came and told us to move. Mind you we understood the circumstances but instead of being polite, helping move the drinks to the new table even showing us where we should sit. He just said MOVE took the menus dropped them somewhere else and then left without another word. We totally understand that there are big groups who should have those seats but let's not forget we ARE ALSO paying customers. If things are this strict the woman should not have placed us in those seats. Would never step foot in this establishment again. Customer service...

Great bar! We started outside surrounded by plants in the little seating nooks they’ve made. My friends got fancy cocktails with fresh fruit / veggie garnishes. I just got a limoncello shot which was a fair price and tasty. Then we went to the basement to play a game of pool, 2€, it was quiet downstairs so we turned on our own music and a man was like no no we will turn on music for you. He also got me some change out of the foosball machine to use. Then he asked to make us shots and came back down with three delicious concoctions, which he bruleed an orange slice on top of each in front of us. Turns out that was Zaher! He was just hanging out, he made us another round of shots after this that were more like a creamy baileys drink.

So kind and made us feel very special to be there. The servers upstairs were very kind too, and pretty, I took another shot with one of them after we got chatting about Texas. Will definitely return next time...

Ordered our drinks (a beer and simple coctail), every 5-10 minutes waiters passed by asking if we have ordered, checked their system - order was there. Every 10 minutes we asked, if our drinks are ready - waitress confirmed, that they are being made right now. Yet we never got the drinks, waited for 50 minutes. We decided to leave, on the way out we let them know, that they can go ahead and cancel the order - the waitress gave us an grumpy grim and mumbled something rude. They were not full, and we could see one of the bartenders just drinking his own drink while the other was having a discussion with him while slowly making drinks. Awfull service and attiture, terrible waiting times of 50+ minutes for simple drinks, without ever getting them, and in the and getting rude treatment because we are not willing to wait any longer for nothing.
