Serhat — Restaurant in Bonn

This has got to be the most shocking experience I have had at a restaurant. I walked in, sat down and looked over the menu. I then asked the waiter if there happened to be an english menu and he said no. I then asked him to help me recommend some items off the menu to which he immediately told me to go to the big board with the pictures of the food and choose something there..ok... So I did.. And this is where it gets interesting. While I was looking at the pictures, the waiter literally (I'm not even exaggerating) came right up next to me and asked "where you're from do they have a german menu?" In an extremely aggressive and clearly sarcastic tone, as if I shouldn't have asked for one. I replied by telling him some restaurants in the area have English menus so i thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. He responded by saying "well we dont have one" and walked away. I don't know why I'm still here waiting for my food, whether it's my tolerance or disbelief but this is hands down, without a doubt, the most disgusting, most appalling, unbelievable experience I have ever had in...

I’ve been here so many times and I think it’s finally time to leave a review.

Definitely my all time favorite Turkish restaurant. The food is decent, price acceptable for the portion (you can get really full from it!) staff is friendly.

My favorite dish would definitely be Adana Kebab, I always miss it when I’m out of the city, couldn’t find any other turkish restaurant to replace it. Took my parents here once, they have visited Turkey twice, yet they find Serhat even better than any local restaurant in Istanbul.

The food is good. The grilled dishes are good, really enjoyed the chicken here. The vegan dishes however are just okay. But the service is questionable. Their tables were reserved for an event, but instead of telling this before we took a seat, they rushed the whole dinner process and chose to inform us about the reservation 15minutes the other guest arrived. In my experience in Bonn, every restuarant mentions how long the table is available in case it is reserved at a certain time, then we can decide early if that's okay...
