Brilliant location in centre of town. Parking. Rooms comfortable enough. Bed and mattress very clean and comfortable. If I was the owner I would pull down all the pictures of people like our lovely late Queen ect and not bother with the themed rooms and concentrate on just paintingthe walls. Take off the cussions themed top covers and just add normal top covets. Its a great little hotel without having themed rooms. The only thing that wasnt cleaned/hoovered properly was the carpet. The bathroom was sparkling clean. Breakfast was fair but it would have been nice to have more selection, for example a cooked alternative but never the less it was good. The bar being on the patio we waited a few minutes and nobody came to serve us. So we went out for drinks. The staff that we did see were extreemly pleasant and helpful. And thank goodness they had a lift as I couldn't have walked up the stairs. I maybe sound critical and I don't mean to be. I would certainly book this hotel again next time in Bonn. Literary 2 or three minutes walk to shops, pubs and restaurants. It was a treat compated to some hotels we've stayed in. And even in the centre of town we slept soundly. Lovely hot shower too. Thank you for our...
Read moreHotel Rheinland has a special charme by its warm atmosphere offered by the staff, given by the building with its rooms reminding the Wilhelminian period of the 19th century, when Bad Godesberg, now a quarter of the City Bonn, was a refugium of Germany's millionaires. The hotel does not show off to be a "five star hotel", it is modest with its modern furniture, comfortable bathrooms, and the calming sounds of old steps in the staircase... The close distance to the metro/tram leading to the famous Museums of Bonn and to the Beethoven hall and the old city with the impressing palace of the medieval archbishop of Cologne (now already 200 years Bonn's important University) on one side, to the other side in walking distance to the river Rhine with its offer of boat tours along the river. We stay now already many years for a short visit in this hotel and we have always enjoyed it. A special tip is that the bar "Zwitscherstube" down in sousterrain is offering help of any kind when the reception is closed during night hours. ||My wife...
Read moreWe stayed here because it fit within our budget and was in a great location of Bonn. We arrived really late (around 11pm) which I was especially nervous about because the hotel did not have 24 hour check-in, luckily no problem there. The room had two twin beds even though I had requested one double. We didn't complain or ask to change, but it would have been nice :)||||I would say the pictures look nicer than the room we stayed in. It seemed a little outdated but it was fine. Free wifi and free continental breakfast, which is always appreciated. The staff is very friendly as well.||||I loved how it's basically right across the street from the S-Bahn which made getting to Koln and Bad Honnef and also around Bonn very easy. It's also very close to the restaurants and shops of Bonn which was great for dinners...
