Caveedel — Restaurant in Cologne

We love this place, but today we had extremely bad experience. The first impression that we have from the bar crew after getting in was, „omg, why they came now?“ After taking our place inside we were waiting for someone to recognize us pretty long, even that our place was 2m from the kitchen/bar. It was busy and we understand it, so many people waiting bla bla, but some professionalism and maybe smile wouldn’t hurt at all. After we finally managed to order, we just forgot about it and yeah, let’s give them some time to bring it. After literally waiting 1h for the food, breakfast that includes 3 slices of bread with other ingredients, one of the crew members came and said „sorry, but we‘re out of bread and we can’t serve your breakfast anymore.“ Okay, if we‘ve been told this in the beginning, we would have just leave and it‘s not a big deal at all, but we were sitting there more than 1,5h all together and place opened at 10 am, run out of bread at 1 pm. 90% of the menu is breakfast. We were there to eat cake and drink coffee. First they brought one coffee and after 20 min they brought second one. So me and my friend were not able to drink coffee at the same time... After 1 hour they brought the cakes(btw i asked 3 times about our food.) When my cake was arrived it was like the cake had fallen to the floor and been put back on the plate, it was looking so bad. I stated many times that everything was too late, but everyone continued to act as if everything was normal.Today I received the worst service I have ever...

Neat and cute! This cafe is quite new and the owner ( or staff) seems to try his best to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. I recall how friendly he was to our lil boy and I also spotted a charming little corner for parents with babies who need to change the diapers. The ladies restroom was tiny but lovingly decorated n equipped if you know what I mean. They use Van Dyck Coffee, offer Bios Limonades, Fritz Coke and Arizona Teas. My Ice Coffee with vanilla ice cream was nice as well as the Brownie our lil boy...
