Kaffeesaurus — Restaurant in Cologne

Yesterday my partner and I wanted a takeout coffee with some pastries and were greeted by an unfriendly staff member outside. She made us feel like this was too much yet she sent us inside. Inside she made us wait in a corner before taking our order. A 5-10 min wait later the coffees came out, the barista yelled something and when I asked if this was mine, he said the order again and rolled his eyes (?!). We kept waiting for the pastries but as they still hadn’t arrived 5 minutes later (while the coffees are getting cold) I asked another staff member if they had forgotten. I got an aggressive ‘JAJAJA’ of yet another staff member behind the bar who then took our pastries, placed them in a box and aggressively chucked them on the counter. Guessing it was ours we took it and left. Then we ‘enjoyed’ our cold coffees with our messed up pastries we just spend €20 ❤️ terrible all together.

Noticed most customers got a similar treatment while we waited so truly confused about the reviews and the amount of customers inside. We speak German so it wasn’t just for us tourists....

We stop in this caffè to take a fast drink. The options were really tempting! As was a bit hot I finally chose a fresh smoothie instead of the coffee! 🙆🏻‍♀️😆 But my selection was super worthy. MAUI SMOOTHIE. super fresh super tasty. Ginger spinach spirulin banana apple lemon cucumber mint and something else 🤭 My husband took the home made ginger lemonade. Was also super fresh! There was also a lot of offers to eat something sweet…. We shared a luce of banana bread with apple. Delicious! 🍌🍎🥖😁

The staff is super gentle and attempt. Our order arrived delayed but as soon as we mark the lady she spend 1 second to bring us the ordered. 👍🏻✨

They also have facilities for wheelchairs needs. Having a bathroom accessible without stairs. 🔝

I’ll try other day to make brunch here. I have a good feeling 🤣🔮 If you are near by I’ll advice...
