Cloud Kitchen — Restaurant in Cologne

A complete disaster! Trying to have brunch at this place was a huge mistake for me and my family. I have never seen such an indifferent attitude towards people as here.

When we arrived, the waiter guy who was doing the seating said that we would have to wait 20 minutes and we could go for a walk. Then, when 20 minutes had already passed and we were back at the cafe, he made us wait at least another 15 minutes and did not appear at the entrance at all.

After that, he assured us that a table was about to be available. So we waited for some more time. Then he let a couple go ahead because there were two of them and three of us.

We were already very hungry and were about to leave, but the guy assured us that they were already clearing the table for us. After that, people who had reserved a table for lunch started coming to the entrance. The guy kept assuring us that we would get a table if one of the guests didn't show up.

In total, we waited for about an hour, and the guy fed us with promises. After that, I can say with confidence that I will never come to this place and I don't advise anyone!

Obviously, the staff knew about the workload of the cafe and the reservations and continued to feed us with promises, although they could honestly say that we wouldn't be able to eat at their place.

I'm so disappointed with the quality of the service and most of all disappointed that a restaurant with such good grades hires unqualified staff or can't train...

The vegan options I had were their Açaí bowl and smashed Avo with tomatoes and Rucola. The Açaí is amazing! It’s the first time I like an Açaí in Germany. It’s great with a authentic flavour and does not have this weird banana taste. Lots of places use banana which overpowers. Huge size and loved to fresh strawberry topping and also some banana chips as crunchy on the side. Iced matcha was really good with many vegan alpro milk options: oat, soy, soy vanilla, coconut… Smashed Avo was also lovely presented and the bread was superb. Fresh bread and smooth Avo spread with some garlic and balsamic vinegar and nice tomatoes. It’s not only pretty, but also tasty. Lovely outside dining options, great service and great quality of food. the quality is great and they use local ingredients for their salads and German grown...

Wir waren zum Frühstück hier und im großen und Ganzen entsprach der Besuch meinen Erwartungen. Jede Menge #Foodporn :) Das Essen war gut, aber geschmacklich und von den Zutaten her nichts Besonderes - dafür sehr schön anzusehen. Bei den Landbroten und Eiergerichten finde ich das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in Ordnung. Eine normale Smoothie-Bowl für 12-14 Euro halte ich dagegen für unverhältnismäßig. Völlig durchgefallen ist für mich das Bananenbrot für 4,90 Euro pro Stück. Das war kein Bananenbrot, sondern ein recht trockener Kuchen mit offenbar zu wenig Banane im Teig. Alles andere hat gut geschmeckt. Ich finde es schade, dass man für maximal zwei Stunden reservieren kann. Bei viel Andrang am Wochenende ist das zwar nachvollziehbar, aber entspricht natürlich nicht dem Brunch Prinzip. Daher ist der Begriff etwas irreführend. Es ist zeitlich kaum nicht möglich, Elemente von Frühstück und Mittagessen zu verbinden. Mal abgesehen davon, dass die meisten Gerichte recht sättigend sind und man dann auch nur eins braucht. Die Akustik ist sehr laut und die Atmosphäre war an einem Sonntagvormittag bei voller Belegung recht hektisch. Die KellnerInnen sind sehr durch die Gegend gehetzt und wirkten gestresst. Einzelne bestellte Getränke kamen teils erst nach mehrfacher Nachfrage und es schien auch keine klare Aufteilung zu geben, welcher Kellner für welche Tische zuständig ist. Daher war es ziemlich durcheinander, aber es gab auch ein Problem mit dem Reservierungssystem - daher ist es sonst vielleicht geordneter. Ganz ganz toll fand ich, dass jedem von uns am Ende ein Heißgetränk zum Mitnehmen gratis angeboten wurde, weil wir sehr lange auf Bestellungen gewartet hatten. Die KellnerInnen waren super bemüht und freundlich, das hat viel rausgerissen. Daher war das Gesamterlebnis positiv und ich würde dem Café auch noch eine zweite Chance geben, wenn es sich etwas eingespielt hat. Ein Vorschlag noch an die Betreiber: Ich finde es super und sinnvoll, dass man übers Handy die Gerichte selbst bestellt. Aber die digitale Speisekarte hat uns alle ziemlich verwirrt und genervt, weil viele Gerichte unter drei verschiedenen Kategorien aufgeführt werden und man deshalb ewig braucht, bis man alles durchgeklickt hat und immer wieder die selben Sachen liest. Das ginge viel einfacher. Z.B. über ein Symbol für vegane Gerichte o.ä. Wir haben für die Bestellung allein eine halbe Stunde gebraucht...
