Die Bredouille Weinbar — Restaurant in Cologne

2 months after leaving my comment, the bar replied me asking for a written review, so I’m providing further clarification. I visited this bar during the Cologne Carnival, on the evening of March 1st, around 8:30 p.m., and stayed for about 2–3 hours. There was a party going on that night. The staff at the entrance was quite nice-since people had to wait outside for a while, she offered a small drink to those in line.

The DJ was good. While lining up I was listening to the music.👍🏻 The atmosphere was quite nice both outside and inside. ❤️‍🔥

Unfortunately, once inside, it took a very long time to get a drink. Possibly because I wasn’t acquainted with the staffs, several people cut in line. I order drinks for my friends and myself, but after giving cash to the bartender, who appeared slightly tipsy, I was told there’s no change available. That experience led me to leave the review-and it’s also the reason why I won’t be visiting this bar...

Great wine selection but pathetic service.

We were recommended this wine bar because Henne weinbar were busy with an event. We ordered a Riesling and the wine was great but the service was atrocious especially when one is spending €46 for the said bottle. We did not speak German on the table and could sense the server's (Tonn) impatience with us because we needed help with the menu which was in German. This has been a great addition to Belgisches Viertel. There were plenty of bars with beer or cocktails, but Bredouille brought the wine bar!

I love coming here. The staff are friendly, the interior is lovely, and most importantly the wine is good (the prices aren't bad either).

They have a chef who comes a couple of days a week, offering some interesting things.

This is one of my favourite spots in the neighbourhood. A little deduction because the service can sometimes feel slow. Overall, I'd suggest that you check it out, but I'd also like to keep...
