Löwen Café — Restaurant in Cologne

This café was recommended by local friends. The decor is brown, wood and cozy, but the NOISE from the kitchen and diners is loud and kills the coziness (there are outside tables with a back drop of grafitti). My "egg omelette " must have been made with VERY small eggs, but 5 slices of bread. My friend had a boiled egg that was cold and pre-cooked, accompanied with a decorative herb leaf, one sliver of cucumber, a tiny tomato, rather grey bread, and a small pot half full of jam (he asked for more!) Food was overall good despite the pancake was burned on the bottom. The service is something else. Waitress forgot to bring part of our order. Interrupted me while ordering. We got sent to three different people tring to pay to end up paying with our server (the first person we tried to pay with). Maybe she was having a bad day and this isn't normal... But I'm not sure I'll be back...

Good cafe, very 'chill' despite the seemingly upscale decor. Our waitress was absolutely lovely. We ordered drinks and breakfast and we all enjoyed our food and coffee / hot chocolates (made with real chocolate, not powder).
