We chanced upon this Turkish restaurant, relieved to find a Halal option along a street filled with many restaurants and cafes.
We had little to no expectations given that the only main dish this restaurant offers is manti. But lo and behold! Lezizel truly has specialised in this simple and unassuming dish.
The Turkish meat dumplings were presented to us in a white oval bowl, floating in yoghurt or any sauce of your choosing.
We chose mushrooms and truffle sauce as additional toppings. For additional flavours, the restaurant offered salt, dried mint, chili flakes and sumac at every table.
We initially considered the mango apple chutney, but were advised against it and rightfully so! The staff was candid (and correct) in their recommendation of avoiding that sauce, and we would recommend against it too!
