restaurant [noa] — Restaurant in Cologne

The noa is a restaurant with modern-rustic design concept. It’s located in the cultural Belgian district, close to the „Ringe“. A real advantage is the parking house on the other street side.

The atmosphere in the location is more like classic industrial but with a warm touch. It’s a regular size restaurant which is pretty good visited. In combination with architectural hall design it’s getting a bit to noisy and crowdy, but still somehow having it‘s own charm.

Something I would like to highlight at the beginning is the way how the staff is working. A role model in service and professionalism.

So coming to the most important part, the food, I have to say: incredible delicious. As a starter we took the „all-in-one-plate“ to get a chance of tasting more or of all options. It’s coming in a size which was actually pretty fair for four persons. In the main course we had tuna steak, manti and regular stake and I can and need only to say: unbelievable! Very delicious, the portions are not to small and everything was just fresh. We finished our dinner journey with Kazims cocoa cake containing a warm chocolate sauce, the pistachio ice in a Baklava and the „apple bag“. All three desserts were absolutely fantastic. Enjoyed each little piece of them.

The prices for the courses are, from my point of view, fair. The noa is not the cheapies restaurant I have been so far but according the location, the quality and mainly the foods taste it‘s fitting to the level.

All in all I can say: An incredible food experience and just...

We had a branch there. I would say it was ok, the staff was very friendly, the taste and so on as well, but the variety wasn't very spectacular. Also you should wait in order something to be added again. And because of the fact that the food was placed on a tabele in one corner and the tables are pretty close as well, you have to always make space to the people passing through( going to the toilet, to their tables or to smoke outside) while you were waiting to reach the food. It would not have be such a problem when there were a little bit more space, but because it wasn't so, you have to move sometimes mire than 2 meters in order to make place, and if it happen, the someone who is not the fastest one, picking food, you have to do this tetris a couple of times. It's not a tragic, and as I said - the staff is pretty friendly, but after the second time I had do the tetris stuff, I gave up, picked up some more food and srood on my place...

We ordered mix of appetizers, tagliarini in trufel sauce, handmade manti and a bottle of Sauvignon blanc Old coach road by the Siefried Family. Wine was very nice, mix of appetizers very good (shrimps were the best part of it), taglianini pasta was exactly as it should be and manti was nice surprise for us. With the second course we ordered another bottle of wine from Kunstler Hochheimer Holle Riesling trocken which was very good as well. If I must choose between Riesling or Sauvignon I would prefer Riesling (both were very good), because it was...
