The Namos Restaurant — Restaurant in Cologne

We visited Namos last night and had a pleasant evening overall. We ordered Italian dishes, which were delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, enhanced by live music that created a lively yet comfortable dining experience.

The service was excellent, with everything we requested arriving quickly and without any issues. The food presentation was top-notch, with a great balance between flavor and creativity.

However, the experience was slightly soured when it came time to pay. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to use a card, as they only accepted cash, which was an inconvenience. This detail wasn't communicated upfront, which left us unprepared.

In summary, it’s a great spot for a night out with fantastic food and service, but make sure to bring cash as card payment is...

Hands down the best meal I’ve had in Cologne. The must-try:

1. The salad - can’t go wrong with the combination of mozzarella, sweet cherry tomatoes and fresh rucola.
2. The ribeye - thick juicy tasty tender steak with freshly cooked thick cut fries
3. The dessert - we ordered the cocomisu TWICE in a night. While I’m not usually a fan of coconut desserts, the combination of coconut shavings on the soft fluffy cake gives it a nice texture. This cake is highly recommended!

Can kind of give the vongole a miss… while I loved the taste of the pasta as there’s a little bit of spice added to it, there were some sand in some of the clams.

However overall this is still one of my favourite restaurant and the girl (from the northern part of Germany) who attended to us was so friendly...

We made a reservation 2 weeks before hand as this would be a special occasion for us. I can only say we were more than disappointed because when we arrived there was no table available for us and we had to wait at a waiting table. When we were finally seated, we heard other people complain about this as well. The staff was super unfriendly and just wanted to get you out as soon as possible. They messed up our order and our food did not arrive at the same moment and we never got an apology. The food was ok, but there is no love in this restaurant and if you have a special occasion please go somewhere else, where they might not treat you like scum. You'll never...
