At first glance, you'd not think much about this place being in a basement and all, but do not let the cover fool you!
As an Asian, I can safely say the food here tastes just like what you can get in Thailand. Went back twice and wished I had found it earlier whilst I had spent some time in Koeln.
Family run restaurant, friendly people, great cooking, lovely price, made it a Thai level of spice when requested. The padtai noodles were chewy just like in Thailand and had the right amount of peanuts, bean sprouts and tofu. Dried chilli flakes and sugar can be added yourself. Pad kra pow was also very good. Portions were big so I didn't manage to try the chicken satay.

Read moreThe portions are generous, and while the location is in a basement, it does have windows, which is a plus. The owners seem to be Thai, which is rare around here since most Thai restaurants are run by Vietnamese.
Prices are low, though not the absolute cheapest. The Panang curry was good—although a bit too peanut-heavy, maybe a touch too sweet, and not spicy at all. So, not very authentic, but still tasty. The Massaman curry was missing some of the typical flavors but was still enjoyable—again, not super authentic, but definitely better than many...
Read more1 star because you can't give zero and the food was actually quite tasty and the ladies were friendly, even if they couldn't speak a word of English (my fault that I can speak very little German so no complaint there).
Everything else (including the aftermath of the food, about 12 hours later, if you catch my drift) very, very dodgy. Don't quite understand the positive reviews...
