THE COFFICE HARBOUR — Restaurant in Cologne

The lady waitressing made us leave our table and switch to a worse one in case someone else came in and wanted to sit there. NO ONE WAS WAITING FOR IT MIND YOU! Also the drink she served me was spilling over the edge and all over the glass and she didnt apologize or even wipe it off.

Update: The coffee shop saying that they reseated us because of a group with a stroller would have been very reasonable, but the mother with a stoller was in fact also sitting at a one person table while the two ‘group’ tables were empty except for one german woman that was sitting there by herself. It’s possible your server didn’t see the matcha spill but her overall demeanor for our stay wasn’t really in line what we’re used to in this otherwise lovely caffe. I understand you want to spin the story so that we’re just two bad customers with no compassion at all but that isn’t the case here, we just had a bad experience with your waitress. Also, I doubt your server runs on WhatsApp, which is what my friend was referring to when she said the server was...

Wo fang ich nur an? Beim Kaffee, beim Personal, oder doch bei der Location? Ich besuche nun seit über einem halben Jahr das Coffice regelmäßig und muss jetzt auch mal meine Bewertung hier abgeben, obwohl ich lieber andere Bewertungen lese als selber eine zu schreiben. Hier eine Ausnahme: Vom Kaffee bis hin zum Personal bis hin zur Location ist dies im Vergleich zu anderen Kölner Cafés DIE ADRESSE schlechthin.

Denn: Dieses Café ist mit Herz geführt und das bekommt auch jeder Gast bei Eintritt in den Laden mit einem äußerst herzlichen „Hallo“ zu spüren. Jeder der regelmäßig kommt muss sein Getränk schon fast nicht mehr bestellen, weil einem die Aufgabe durch die Inhaber mit einem „so wie immer?“ abgenommen wird. Nun, bei so viele Gästen verliert man doch eigentlich leicht den Überblick oder? Hier nicht.

Kaum sitzt der Gast wird sich unfassbar viel Mühe gegeben dass dieser egal, ob Touri, Büromitarbeiter, Workaholic, Lieferant oder ganz normaler Gast eine tolle Zeit hat. Neben sehr gutem Kaffee bekommt man hier auch tolle Leckereien🥯🥐🌯🥗. Sei es ein Stück Kuchen für den Kaffeeklatsch, Overnight Oat’s als verspätetes Frühstück oder Nudelsalat und Wraps zum Lunch. Der Laden ist für jede Situation gewappnet (auch Veganer und Vegetarier werden hier fündig!). Nicht nur so ein breites Spektrum an Leckereien, sondern auch die Tatsache dass alles jeden Morgen frisch zubereitet wird ist mehr als zufriedenstellend. Wer im Winter lieber einen fancy pumpkin spiced Latte oder im Sommer Aperol bevorzugt wird passend zur Jahreszeit umsorgt.

📍Noch kurz zur Location: Ein TRAUM sowohl die Location in Deutz (die insbesondere da ein Geheimtipp ist) als auch die im Rheinauhafen. Im stylischem, modernem Ambiente lässt es sich übrigens super auf den Sonnenaufgang oder auf den Abendhimmel vom Sonnenuntergang warten, alle werden hier glücklich. Der Rheinauhafen ist auch an sich eher eine ruhige, sichere und gepflegte Gegend wo tendenziell eher weniger Leute unterwegs sind als in der direkten Innenstadt.

🚗 Wer mit dem Auto kommt kann entweder in der Garage darunter parken (dies ist aber etwas teurer) oder man parkt etwas günstiger weiter weg und kann so einen kleinen Spaziergang am Rhein zum Coffice machen.

Ich bin mir zu 100% sich, dass jeder Gast der aus „Zufall“ vorbei stolpert, als auch gezielt hier her kommt mit Sicherheit dies noch einmal tun wird.

Coffice is a place I have so far enjoyed coming to. However, this time I was really sad to experience me and my friend being moved from a table that was free because the server said it is reserved for bigger groups. She was very unpleasant, using her phone often in front of the customers and rude to me and my friend. The spot we were taken away from was taken by a couple 30 minutes later. Additionally, when she served us, she did not clean the matcha glass that she spilled while putting it on the table and had no manners regarding the plating and customer experience. Its a shame that such a beautiful ambient and tasty food was overshadowed by such poor quality service. I am sad not to be coming to Coffice anymore… A loyal...
