The short - Very nice place to eat, ordering possible in english and german. The long - A sushi restaurant where "All you can eat" is the main course for everyone. Beside sushi they offer some typical asian cuisine (fast fried i might add), pure rice that goes well with none-sushi food and something more exotic like seaweed salad (expect high iodine intake for this one). But let's talk about service: wait times are pretty short compared to a traditional restaurant, for me this were 1-3min before the first item from an order round came to the table, with sometimes getting the order within seconds - to put this in perspective, the restaurant was filled to about 1/4 the capacity and during lunch hours. How this quick process of getting your order is accomplished is pretty simple. You order by ipad which can be seen by staff in real time, is prepared and delivered within seconds to minutes. Let's move on to service - when you first enter the restaurant and found a table, an introduction is given to the order procedure, if you ever used a smartphone this is straight forward, the special thing is how ordering works in rounds, food is ordered in rounds of 6 items, with a minimum wait time of 5min in-between. Drinks are ordered seperately from food (and without the 5min wait rule). Staff is as nice and helpful as they come. Last but not least, let me warn you about over-ordering, you will be paying 1-2€ depending on type of your order, for each item ordered. There is no "take with you"-offering either, something you would see in any normal restaurant, this is understandable, due to the over-ordering rule. A tip would be to have someone else with you, if you over-order and are bursting already. That's it, thanks...
Read moreIt's not bad I mean, but it's not good either. The portions are really small (1-3 pieces per portion) but it's not the problem here. The sushi, despite the good reviews it has, has a really average quality. I ate much better sushi in similar all you can eat restaurants in Italy for the same price. The first nigiris I ate were way less fresh than the following ones (like dull or so), and in general all the sushi was way too salty and dry. The choice isn't also great: with the basic nigiris, some rolls and some basic makis I syntesized the majority of the menu. The one with the fish eggs was good, but again they weren't as fresh as expected. I did not appreciate the water choice either, with only 25cl (too little) and 75cl (too much) to choose. The atmosphere was good and the waitress was kind also. In conclusion, I don't feel giving more than 2 stars, but I think it could deserve more compared to the others...
Read moreWe went with coworkers on a monday evening. 3 people without reservation. We arrived on the location around 20.00, to find the place packed.
When you walk in, you see the sushi being made in front of you, all fresh looking and carefully made. The waiter showed us a table in the back, with a view on the street behind.
We ordered a bit of everything; Maguro Aburi and the regular Maguro & Sake are fresh made, and exactly how you'd want them.
Great sushi, Tako Yaki, and nigiri. check out the Ebi Gyoza if you are there for dinner, was worth it :)
Will come again, as the bars next door seem like a...
