Asia Hoang Duong — Restaurant in Dresden

Huang Duong Asia Imbiss is a nice Vietnamese/Chinese takeaway/restaurant in the trendy north part of Dresden. Inside, the place has the look of a takeaway type front with a restaurant attached. Not much to look at, but the food is good. The menu is quite extensive for such a small place with an eclectic mix of Chinese, Viet and Thai options. The kitchen is visible from the counter, so no question that the food is cooked fresh.

Sorry, aber das Essen erinnerte mich auf negative Weise an längst überwunden gehoffte Zeiten. Ich bestellte das „Szechuan-Gericht“ und war so naiv zu glauben, dass es wirklich mit Szechuan-Pfeffer gewürzt sei. Stattdessen bekam ich deutlich zu weiches Gemüse in einer undefinierbaren (evtl. Tomaten-)Sauce mit irgendwelchen Klümpchen (Stärke? Glutamat?). Für die angepriesene Schärfe und Würzung sorgte einzig und alleine die altbekannte 0815-Sauer-Scharf-Sauce aus der Flasche. Nicht mal frische Chilis. Die Preise sind mit etwa 6-10€ pro Hauptgericht natürlich günstig. Für einen ähnlichen Preis gibt es in anderen asiatischen Restaurants allerdings frisches, gesundes und deutlich authentischeres Essen. Ich jedenfalls kann nur von diesem...
