Borowski — Restaurant in Dresden

We visited Borowski Bar & Restaurant on Prager Straße in December 2024 during the Christmas market. The place is very pleasant, with affordable prices, a great location, and a lovely view of the city from the slightly elevated outdoor seating. The staff was generally friendly and polite.

The food was a delightful surprise: the schnitzel was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, paired with a creamy, tangy potato salad — simple, classic, and comforting.

However, we had a disappointing moment when paying the bill. The waiter returned incorrect change — we paid $100 for a bill of $82.50 but received only $8.50 back, despite already leaving a tip in coins. It felt dishonest, especially toward foreign tourists like us. Since it was our last day in Dresden, we avoided a confrontation, but we left feeling frustrated.

Final thought: A great place for food and location, but be cautious when handling payments. Unfortunately, this issue impacted an otherwise very positive experience.

Today I had an unpleasant incident in your restaurant, namely, one of your waiters behaved very incompetently towards me and my small dog. I would be grateful if you could explain to your waitress the rules of behavior and communication with guests of your establishment. Borowski is in a very central spot, has a view on one of the crowded streets of Dresden. We wanted to have breakfast, the service was fine, took the order pretty quickly and we didn't wait that much. Now regarding the food, it was fine, it wasn't bad or anything but it also wasn't great, it didn't feel fresh though!
