Codo — Restaurant in Dresden

I tried this restaurant several times, both in Neustadt and Altstadt. Have to write a review to deliver my dissapointment to the quality of Vietnamese traditional food here such as Pho, Bun Nem, etc. The noodle soup didn't taste, the fish sauce in Bun nem was like water (I'm not even sure if they put fish sauce in or just purely water), the spring roll doesn't taste good and of course not authentic. The salat in Bun Nem didn't taste fresh. I will stop visiting this restaurant.

We were quite disappointed in our experience here sadly. We ordered between others the vegetarian curry and a Nudel dish with „ginger“ and „tomatoes“. The curry was extremely salty and the Nudel dish was not tasting ginger at all and the sauce was very weird in consistence and with zero taste. My friend could not eat it. Wir waren zum Abendessen bei côdô und ich bin ehrlich gesagt ziemlich schockiert. In der Speisekarte wird extra angegeben, dass es glutenfreie Optionen gibt – aber das Personal hatte absolut keine Ahnung davon. Wir hätten fast ein Gericht mit Gluten bestellt, weil der Kellner meinte, es sei „natürlich glutenfrei“. Erst beim Nachhaken kam raus, dass es eben doch nicht so ist. Für Menschen mit Unverträglichkeiten oder gar Zöliakie ist das richtig gefährlich. Anstatt uns wirklich zu helfen, war der Kellner auch noch unfreundlich und überhaupt nicht bemüht. Wenn man schon mit Allergenen wirbt, sollte man wenigstens wissen, wovon man redet. Und das Essen selbst war auch kein Trost: fad, kaum Geschmack und für vietnamesische Küche wirklich schwach. Wir hatten uns deutlich mehr erhofft, aber so etwas muss man sich echt nicht noch einmal antun. Definitiv kein Restaurant, das ich weiterempfehlen würde.
