Elbsalon — Restaurant in Dresden

This place was well placed on the corner and the decor was kind of a bit more up market which obviously speaks to the prices, however the proof was in the pudding or not shall we say. The eggs with ham and hollaindaise sauce was maybe the worst I’ve had in that the hollaindaise was passable and the eggs ok, but the ham really didn’t taste that great and now I worry about food poisoning and the chicken pasta my girlfriend sent back due to the chicken tasting and smelling not right. Additionally, we had an additional 6eucharge in the bill from no where and when we sent the food back they initially didn’t want to offer a refund for the pasta even though we had barely touched it. My opinion is don’t go here until the place has had some kind of revamp. They did offer a refund for the pasta in the end. The place has a lot of potential if someone starts to run it with...

The only thing, that I can say is that the meal was incredibly delicious. It was really interesting, because I ordered Chicken Toast and there were three pieces of bread with peanut butter, some kind of soft cheese, salad and some fried citrus!! I didn’t manage to find out what it was, but it tastes mouthwatering! And the smoothie was without sugar or sth, it tasted pretty healthy and unobtrusively:) But unfortunately the toilets were not so good, the smell is bad, and there was a motion sensor on the light lamp, it was really unconventional and uncomfortable, when every minute while I was fixing my makeup in front of the mirror, the light was off and it was fully dark. The staff was unfriendly and unprofessional.

I visited on 29th of May, around 11:30-12:00, I ordered an orange juice and I was told they are out of it. If you look at the picture I took that very moment, you can see the full crate of oranges. Plus, I saw how another costumer was served an orange juice just a few minutes afterwards. But let's say there is an explanation for all of this, like the juice machine not working or something like that. Nevertheless, I was not offered any other option and anything else I was asking from the menu, shakes or smoothies, they were out of it. The lady at the register did not have any desire to be helpful or friendly that morning.
