Emil’s 1910 located in Dresden.
I took a day trip to the city to take care of some business and I need to eat something so I decided to stop in this location there. They have a dish which is called Dresden Senfeier which is hard boiled eggs in a mustard sauce. This is not the first time I’ve had one of these. All the ones I’ve had in the past, I pretty much well enjoyed.
In this case here I have to say it was disappointment. The sauce had a bit too much vinegar in it and wasn’t like mustardy enough. It was just was off in flavor somehow. There were three potatoes to go along with it, which tasted OK I guess.
I thought I would get a taste of Dresden but I got a taste of something that was not so pleasant. My friend was there a a few hours before we went there. Had the same dish and she said the sauce was completely different. It had cream in.
Now the drinks with big clumps of lemon and lime in it; they didn’t cut off the ends. They just dumped all of it into the glass with some sugar and sparkling water. I should say. There was no mixture. No flavor. It was like drinking lemon juice And water.
Lemonade has to be prepared in advance, so it taste good. And you can put other things in like ginger, for example. And to think we paid €5.50. I’m sorry what a joke they could’ve done better than that.
Normally, I write positive reviews of places that I visit most cases there’s not too much to complain about. But in this case here, I’m sorry to say for what we had:...
Read moreI would like to write my experience about this cafe... the most bold thing you face there is rude, rude and rude staffs. Today, I tried to order a togo coffee because I tast their coffee latte once and it tasted very good to me. However, I was with a stroller and my baby was sleeping inside it. The entrance of the shope has two small stairs and I stoped at the intrance and thinking if I should take the stroller in or not (eg. Watching it during ordering.... ) but the counter has a distance from the entrance and watching was not possible... I was in this thinking mode that a waiter came to me and said move from the entrance (in german without any bitte)... and it was the second rudness I faced during my only two times experience with this shope. Last time the waiter came to take my order and I asked in nglish that I need more time to choose but she only said it is gor our staff without even trying to here me and when I said it was not what I meant she just left me with not saying sorry and laughed with her...
Read moreIt is a shame. The place beautiful, the deserts great. The problem was with the attitude of one of the employees. The problem was not that he could not speak English, it was that he did not CARE to serve us. After I apologized that I don’t speak German, he just stared at me, like if he waited, I could magically come up with german skills. He could ask one of his English speaking coworkers. After that, in every interaction with him, he did not bother putting even a fake smile. Later my friend ordered a coffee in German, he brought us diff. one one by mistake (which is totally fine), he replied angrily: “Well, next time say it more clearly” Why? Why do we deserve this attitude of “I don’t need you as my customers”. I just wanted to relax and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the place. Why do we have to feel such guilt for not speaking German. It is a shame because the other employees were so nice and helpful, but you have to understand one bad experience is...
