Ballermann 6 — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

I regret to report a discriminatory incident at your bar in Dusseldorf Germany, on the 01.09.2023. As a person of black ethnic background, and my friend of asian descent, we were denied entry based on our race. I do not like using the race card lightly, but on this ocassion this is the only conclusion we could draw upon based on our observation and the choice of words by the bouncer. He said to us, 'this bar is for german's only' and it appeared his colleague was agreeance with him.

I am from the UK and i have not experienced such an open description when trying to enter a bar, especially in a larger city on the main street for going out. This is how divide are created and lack of integration of a person to another person's country and or culture.

Avoid This Place – Discriminatory and Rude Staff

If I could give zero stars, I would. My friend and I were denied entry for absolutely no reason, despite being dressed appropriately. The bouncer was not only rude but also aggressive, shouting in our faces without any explanation.

What’s worse, we quickly realized that they were selectively allowing only white people inside, making it clear that this place operates on discriminatory and racist policies.

The Bouncers refused to allow my blind friend in. My friend is visiually impaired and night blind and they wouldn't allow him in. They told us "It's too dangerous for him", but I did not see any danger. They were concerned about him going down the stairs to the bathroom, but many places have bathrooms downstairs and this has never been an issue for him as I always help him up and down the stairs. He was with me and we go out to many different bars and restaurants and nowhere has ever been "too dangerous".
