Located in a side street just 60 steps away from the busy Heinrich-Heine-Allee subway station on the doorstep of the Old Town, this hidden gem looks like a serious contender for the title of "the smallest house in France". Do not hesitate to pull the door behind the blue sign proudly sporting the name of an all-time French favourite. Step inside, and you will be greeted by the inhabitants of the lobster tank and by the ever-friendly, smiling chef performing high-class culinary magic which will blow your senses tonight. The atmosphere is almost that of a drawing room, with just a few tables - ideal for a romantic night out, a catch-up with friends, or even biz talks. The quiet French retro music transports you into the century that knew no smartphones and invites you to focus on the person opposite, and, of course, on the exquisite dinner cooked with devotion and served with love. Read moreSpectacular hidden gem at the edge of the Altstadt. The food was sheer perfection and the service was top notch. We shared the scallops to start and they were accompanied by caramelised chicory and a light curry sauce with apple that was simply to die for. The scallops were cooked perfectly.
I had the lobster pasta for mains and it was absolutely gorgeous, with big chunks of perfectly cooked lobster and fresh Chanterelles in there as well. Sublime sauce.

The place itself is very cool, it's tiny, one chef in a tiny kitchen doing everything himself and so well.
We will definitely be back. An absolute...
Read moreI just made a reservation today for one person. I came to the restaurant at 19.00 pm and the waitress(woman) showed me my table after checking the reservation book. She gave me the menu and it was German. I asked her” can l have an English menu please”. She was said immediately “no” but she was angry to ask her an English menu. I said that l do not speak German and l could not understand anything on the menu. She was hanging around and helping to other customers because l am sure that they were German and they speak German. I waited around 15 minutes and even she did not look at my face and come to my table to help me. I was very angry and left after 15 minutes. I do not recommend to anyone to go to this restaurant. She is very rude and not charming. I am sure that she is racist. Definitely not Recommended. Go and find a nice restaurant and there are a lot...
