Trattoria Carissima GmbH — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

Unfortunately I have to edit my 5 star review. Service is not professional and it’s not my fault that due to stress and arguments between workers at Carissima I got the wrong salad. They kinda forced me to take the wrong plate but I did not want to eat a salad with red meat so I please asked for the salad with mushrooms and turkey. Well, I got finally the turkey salad and the turkey was RAW inside and of course they did not even prepare another salad for me (I could find pieces of red meat hidden in between the mushrooms and salad leaves from the first salad served). Also the turkey tasted and looked like chicken (idk anymore). It was a shame. I loved Carissima but I’m not thinking of coming again. They did not even apologize when I paid and offered me a shot of alcohol when I pointed out the problem. I had previously visited this restaurant and was not impressed, which explains my earlier review. However, I’m back to update my opinion based on my last two visits, which have exceeded my expectations.

During these visits, we ordered pizza and wine, and what can I say… it was simply divine. The pizza was perfectly crafted, with a deliciously crisp crust and fresh, flavorful toppings that truly set it apart. Paired with a fine selection of wine, the meal was exceptional.

The restaurant is located in a charming area of Düsseldorf, offering a friendly and pleasant atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. The staff is welcoming and attentive, making each visit enjoyable and relaxing.

The food 👍 like always. But the service was lacking a little when we visited yesterday. Our time started out great we had a nice table the bread came quickly maybe it’s my fault cause we ordered mains and the appetisers together but it all turned very slow after that it took a while for our food to appear and then only two plates did…we waited about good 10 mins for the next one to come.
