My friend and I were a few times there and tried to get something to eat quickly. The service is horrible: Two last times we have visited it while events as "Minecraft movie" and "20th Anniversary" were ongoing, so we have tried to get some presents, which we in fact didn't get. We tried to order with a self-service machine using a card, but the system gave us an error, so we had to go and pay directly at the counter. We also selected the "eat-in" option, but our food was packed as if we had ordered it "to go." After searching for a spot, we sat down at one of the least dirty tables — which was still quite dirty, but cleaner than the others. Next to us, a group of people who had ordered takeout received their meals on trays. When they complained about it, the woman delivering the food rudely responded: “Should I bring this food to your home?”
The food is also horrible: Sprite was just water with very little of sprite syrup. My friend's burger was either uncooked or there was something inside because it was a bit too hard (we were scared to look inside). We added a salad to our order, but it was just a pile of roughly chopped vegetables: cucumbers and tomatoes thrown together in large pieces. The Chicken Roll came with almost no filling inside — one half was completely empty.
In conclusion, I simply cannot recommend this particular McDonald's. We've never had such issues at other McDonald's restaurants — the service and food were always fine, and we always received toys or gifts during promotions without needing to ask...
Read moreI only go to McDonald's once or twice a year, usually while travelling, and must admit I've regretted my last visits. McDonald's business model used to be that patrons received reliably decent quality (for fast food) in every store worldwide. A BigMac looked and tasted the same no matter where in the world you ordered it. The restaurant in Düsseldorfs Main Station was a major let down. I'm not a fan of the new ordering terminals, so I ordered at the cashier's who was clearly unmotivated and unhappy to be there. He then refused to sell me a small (regular) menu instead of the standard (large) size, because of my drink choice (Apple spritzer). He wouldn't even let me choose a different drink. At first I was pleasantly surprised to see they processed orders rather quickly. However, it appears they achieve that by not really preparing their burgers freshly. The patty was old and stale and cold and the cheese slices hadn't been near anything warm. If I hadn't just spent a day walking over the fair grounds and my feet hadn't hurt so much I would have returned it. But alas, I was hungry and tired so I just gulped it down without the slightest pleasure and vowed never to go to McDonald's again. Not even the fries were any good. Seating is extremely limited and most tables were occupied with people just lounging around, not customers. I had to actively chase someone away from a seat because I didn't want to eat standing in the middle...
Read moreNot worth going. Someone I know got pickpocketed here. They will sit next to you, pretend to have dropped some coins on the sofa, and distract you by pointing at it and getting your attention. I have suspicions that the staff is collaborating with them as the thieves will not have known about the purse if not for the staff who served us food AND looked into the handbag as they placed the tray on the table, which has bulky luggage between the table and others who walk past us. The staff also claimed that the cctv in the restaurant is not working. We were tourists in the area and could not report to the police as we were on a tight schedule to catch the next train. Ruined our whole trip. If there are similar experiences by others in this shop, I hope you would also raise awareness by leaving a comment like mine so these thieves will not have a...
