Rustica Peruanisches Restaurant — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

I had high expectations but was a tad disappointed. Maybe a bit unfortunate that there was a group of over 20 people for a birthday dinner. Which meant for us that some drinks took a while to arrive and that there was almost no dessert left, except a chocolate soufflee (I had been looking forward to the Peruvian crema volteada or at least crema catalana (they were all reserved for the big birthday group...). My pulpo was much too salty, I could hardly taste the pulpo, a shame really. Did not dare to complain. Others at my table enjoyed their food, especially the ceviche is highly recommendable.

I absolutely loved it! This was my first time trying Peruvian food. As an Asian girl, I was a little skeptical about trying something completely different, but everything tasted absolutely delicious and opened up a new horizon for me.

We tried many dishes, and everything was amazing! The dish that impressed me the most was Anticuchos de Corazón de Res (beef heart with Peruvian corn) — it was so juicy, fresh, and perfectly balanced.

All the other dishes were really good too. I will definitely visit this restaurant again if I come back...

Wir – drei Peruanerinnen – haben uns auf den Weg nach Düsseldorf gemacht, rund 1:30 Stunden Anfahrt, um dieses Restaurant auszuprobieren. Die zahlreichen positiven Bewertungen und der Umstand, dass man reservieren muss, haben hohe Erwartungen geweckt. Leider wurden diese nicht erfüllt.

Wir haben u. a. Tacu Tacu bestellt, das allerdings eher wie ein Risotto wirkte. Der Reis war sehr klein und zerkocht. Nach sofortiger Reklamation wurde zwar ein neuer Teller gebracht, der etwas besser war – dafür bedanken wir uns. Trotzdem fehlte es insgesamt an der typischen peruanischen „sazón“. Auch beim Seco wurde der klassische Zwiebelsalat nicht mitserviert – ein weiteres Beispiel für fehlende Authentizität.

Die Portion Yuca mit Huancaína-Sauce war sehr klein – für 8 € definitiv kein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Sauce erinnerte geschmacklich eher an Mayonnaise. Das Ceviche war ebenfalls enttäuschend: Der Fisch war in länglichen Scheiben geschnitten (nicht gewürfelt), die Süßkartoffel bestand aus nur einer, halb rohen Scheibe. Wir können aber die Causa empfehlen.

Insgesamt war das Essen leider schwach gewürzt und wenig überzeugend. Wir verstehen, dass man Gerichte an lokale Geschmäcker anpassen möchte, aber wir hatten mehr Originalität und Qualität erwartet.

Der Service war freundlich, aber etwas unkonzentriert bei nur 3 Tischen. Das Lokal selbst ist recht dunkel, die Musik war schön, aber die Pflanzenplätze sind weniger empfehlenswert – dort liefen Ameisen herum.

120 € für drei Personen sind total in Ordnung, wenn Geschmack und Qualität stimmen – das war hier leider...
