Sabor de España Restaurant — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

Cozy, small restaurant. We liked the ambiance. The menu is small and we would like more options (especially to visit regularly) but everything we tried was well prepared and satisfying. One star less for the service unfortunately, as the young lady who attended to us was unwelcoming-no greeting, no eye contact. It is in our neighborhood so will surely try again and hopefully it only...

Its ok. Some good dishes (pan-fried baby squid, gambas al chef...) but the paella was a bit different than what I am used to. They used long grain rice so the texture was off and dry... Not like the moist paellas I have had in Spain. Fish soup was too salty but it's probably one-off. Sangria...

Aus meiner Sicht ist das Restaurant mittlerweile preislich deutlich überzogen. Die Preise haben Nichts mit dem Originalen in Spanien gemeinsam. Auch die Qualität ist nicht so, wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe. Die Garnelen sind nur sehr einfach zubereitet, es fehlt der Geschmack. Vermutlich ohne Butter und Salz zubereitet. Weiterhin sind für 11,50€ viel zu wenig Garnelen auf dem Teller. Die Chorizo ist auch nur sehr einfach, vermutlich ohne Rotwein oder Saft abgeschmeckt. Die Hähnchenflügel wirken fast schon frittiert (so trocken waren sie) als eben wie das Original zart zubereitet. Schade eigentlich, weil das Ambiente eigentlich ganz nett ist. Es war mein erster Besuch eines Spaniers in Düsseldorf und ja, vermutlich ist es dort etwas teurer. Aber dann erwarte ich auch wirklich top Qualität, wenn ich bereits so viel Geld für Tapas/Media Raciones...
