We visited this café based on the many positive reviews, but unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations, especially when it came to the food. My husband ordered the Eggs Benedict, and I chose the Canadian Dream pancakes. I was really hungry, but I couldn’t even finish half of my portion because they were terrible—honestly, the worst pancakes I’ve ever had.
The pancakes looked beautiful and appetizing, but as soon as I cut into them, they crumbled like shortcrust pastry. In the mouth, they had a plasticky texture that stuck to my teeth and the roof of my mouth, making it difficult to swallow, even when washed down with coffee.
What made it worse was that when the server noticed I hadn’t eaten anything except the bacon, she simply asked, "Do you want to pack it to go?" I said "no," and she didn’t even bother to ask if I liked the food or if something was wrong. She just left.
While other items on the menu might be worth trying, I wouldn’t recommend the pancakes to anyone. I hope the chefs consider...
Read moreCame here on a Sunday for brunch. Since there are no reservations we had to wait for a table outside in the cold for about 25 minutes. There were about 5-7 other parties also waiting to be seated. We finally got a table inside, but it was unfortunately right next to the door so we remained cold the entire time due to people coming in and out. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the egg burger and for what we got, it was not worth the price. €19+ for the burrito and it was on the small side and mediocre. Service was okay but they seemed annoyed to be there and therefore it made us feel like we should’ve spent our money elsewhere. There were also parties that were done eating and just camping at their tables while we all waited outside for a table; I think the staff should put a time block so that the tables turn faster and people don’t have to wait in the cold. Overall take, food is not worth the price and show up early to get a table or else you’re going to wait a long time for not a...
Read moreIt's a cute and quirky little breakfast/brunch spot. The staff were super friendly and hospitable.
It is very popular over the weekends, limited seating. They don't take reservations but the wait for a table isn't too long.
For the prices they're charging, the portions are quite small. They do seem to gravitate towards the healthier way of cooking so if that's your thing... This is the place to be.
They've got an extensive breakfast menu and drinks. Great for variety, something for everyone. You're expecting a punch or explosion of flavor.. eating with your eyes first but unfortunately, underwhelming. The food was okay. It wasn't the best I've had and not the worst. It was just fine. The food pictures a lot better than it's delivery in taste.
They only accept card payments, no cash. They follow the hygiene protocols and masks quite...
