Home away from home.. They've accurately captioned the hotel as 'apartments in hotels' and provide excellent service in top of it to make it among the best experiences I've had at hotel rooms so far.
The entry road is a bit confusing for when driving down here thanks to a tram track( I'm not a German driver, that may also be the reason) , so people driving down here keep a extra eye when about 50m-100meters from the hotel. The parking experience was nerve wrecking with a station wagon, which they had already warned regarding the narrow parking space. The receptionist was warm. The room corridor looks grand with elegant selection of colours and details. The same theme reciprocates when entering the room. The first thing that caught my attention was a iHome dock to which I immediately plugged in my iPod and made myself comfy. There was a retractable table below the TV, a well equipped kitchenette, a trouser press, a gummy bear packet on the bed, a to z list well accessible, and the fridge had free beverages! It may cost just peanuts to provide two beers and water bottles, but the way it shifts the mood as an unconventional setting can make up one's evening😅.
And the mornings are to be pepped up a beautiful view from the wide windows and the breakfast buffet. The dining area for breakfast is of elegant decor and the platter is good. I felt an Indian touch with a 'poha' like dish as well. The assortment of tea is something I did stare at, for a minute. The experience kept getting better with the lively service as well😃
I could find no flavours of the place to be called a 'serviced apartment' (a popular concept in India where the group serves a cluster of apartments to provide an apartment+hotel like feeling at affordable rates), even if so, it's among the most luxurious of types. I believe they have considerations for long term bookings and I believe it's perfectly suited for a long term stay considering the home like ambience it projects if the budget is of low...

Breakfast was good, the breakfast room was very nice a. the service there first rate. We booked thinking there was a restaurant a. bar a. were disappointed that there wasn’t. The hotel must be close to a Fire Station a. Hospital as there were constant siren noises. We are older pensioners. I think the hotel has more appeal to younger people who don’t mind being out at night. We were given an option of not having housekeeping a. the hotel explained they would donate 4 euros a day to a foodbank. In hindsight I would have preferred to have housekeeping a. donate to the foodbank. We could ask for clean towels a. to have the bin emptied which was fine. There were only a few coffee sachets. I met a housekeeper one morning who gave me a few extra. We like a coffee when we wake a. one in the evening. We ran out one night a. there were none at reception when we asked. It would have helped to have a vending machine as our only option was to drink water. There were roadworks outside the hotel. My husband has mobility difficulties a. it was quite challenging for him. That said our three sons a. daughters in law joined us at the weekend a. they found it fine .. they were only there for a short stay .. we were there for a week. We would look for somewhere...
Read moreThe beds are super comfortable and the bathroom is very nice. Except it is rather noisy and there's a chance you might hear the neighbours. The showerhead in our bathroom was also off to the side so it was not very comfortable to shower in the bathtub. The hotel is very clean and safe. We had a loud neighbour, I tried to call the reception at 1a.m. but the reception phone was shut off. I wanted to go downstairs to file the complaint but must admit I didn't feel safe in doing so and would have rather been able to call to the reception. However, when I got downstairs, the guy at the reception resolved it right away.
Added note; The parking garage underneath the hotel is very narrow. There are two parking garages within 10 minute walking distance that will only cost you €4 or €5 per day on the weekend. One of them is literally two minutes away from the hotel, it is closed for construction currently (tiefgarage Kirchplatz, June 2020) and the other (Qpark Friedrich street) is 8-10...
