Bernstein und Inbar — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

We visited Bernstein for a business lunch and ordered various different lunch specials: parpadelle with beef ragout, goat cheese with pears and pumpkin (salad) and Mediterranean fish soup with vegetables. Everyone was delighted with their dish. It took a bit longer than usual for the dishes to arrive as they were all freshly cooked, but didn't mind. The atmosphere is quite hip with electronic music playing in the background, 1 large table shared with other customers and some 4 smaller tables if you prefer a more discrete setting. The non alcoholic beverage alternatives are also quite vast compared to many other restaurants. Das Bernstein & Inbar auf der "Futter- und Genießermeile" Lorettostraße ist ein kleiner Allrounder. Klein im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes, denn die Kombination aus Restaurant und Feinkostgeschäft kommt mit lediglich einen Raum aus und bietet hier an einem großen und drei kleineren Tischen Platz für ca. 25 Personen. Ein Allrounder ist das Bernstein & Inbar, weil es nicht nur eine täglich wechselnde Mittagskarte mit ansprechenden Gerichten zu günstigen Preisen bietet, sondern auch Frühstück, Kaffee und Kuchen, sowie die passenden Antipasti zum Feierabend.

Aufgrund der großen Produkt- und Angebotsvielfalt sind die Plätze hier heiß begeehrt und so muss man sich den Tisch auch schonmal mit anderen Gästen teilen - was ja im Zweifel mal ganz interessant sein kann.

Für mich gab es heute das Chili-Ingwer-Hühnchenfilet mit Orangen-Limonen-Basmatireis und für den kleinen Hunger am Nachmittag noch eines der "To-Go-Sandwiches" mit Honig-Thymian-Schinken und Senf. Beides wirklich sehr gut und für den Preis absolut...
