Menta cucina italiana — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

Usually a great place to eat. They have a good menu selection and some tasty dailies.

The last time I was there it wasn't so pleasant though. We were a party of 4, we all order the same spaghetti carborana from the dailies and each a different drink.

They brought the drinks and mine was wrong, didn't mind to take the wrong drink but I was surprised as there wasn't a lot of people to get confused but things happen and I was ok with it.

The biggest issue was the carbonara. First the brought 3 of the 4 plates if course mine tas missing (at this point I was taking it personally;)) I noticed on the plates of my friends the was no carbonara but spaghetti with scrabbled eggs. A couple of minutes later my plate came and it was also scrabble eggs with bacon on spaghetti, I have to say it wasn't good and left most of it. A shame.

I hope to visit in the near future and hopefully it is back to...

If you're a fan of Italian food, this place is a must-visit. The dishes are consistently amazing, and they frequently offer specials that are worth trying. I had the spaghetti with green peas from the menu, and it was absolutely delicious—the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the flavors came together beautifully.

My friend opted for the ravioli special, which looked incredible. It made me wish I had chosen that dish instead! The ravioli was rich and flavorful, a true standout.

Overall, whether you go for the menu or one of their specials, you're in for a treat. Highly recommend it for anyone craving authentic, flavorful...

Einst ein Geheimtip im immer mehr gentrifizierten Unterbilk hat das Menta mittlerweile extrem nachgelassen. Der Laden ist ziemlich überfüllt, unangenehm laut, sowie hektisch. Die wirklich interessanten Leute, netten Nachbarn und Kreativen Unterbilks sieht man hier immer weniger, dagegen immer mehr Schikis. Der "Erfolg" scheint den Kellnern und den Betreibern zu Kopf gestiegen zu sein - von wegen Italienischer Charme - so unfreundlich sind wir in einem Restaurant noch nicht behandelt worden. Ja, die Preise sind billig aber die kulinarisch doch sehr schlichten Portionen sind klein und zusammen mit einer Vorspeise, die man bestellt um überhaupt satt zu werden, ist es dann auch wieder genauso teuer wie anderswo. Eine der Pizzen war kalt und matschig. Der Wein ist von durchschnittlicher Supermarktqualität und so gesehen eher überteuert. Apropos Supermarkt: Wenn man jetzt noch bei einigen Reviews hier liest, wie toll die Qualität des Essens angeblich ist, möchte ich nicht vergessen zu erwähnen, dass wir nach unserem recht unvergesslichem Besuch des Mentas sahen wie der Chef vom Dienst gegenüber bei Kaisers die Einkäufe seiner erlesenen Zutaten erledigte inclusive einigen Broten von Kamps! Schade eigentlich, dass so ein Laden wohl aufgrund seiner Popularität den Bach runter geht aber das Menta sieht uns nicht...
