AROMA Vietnamese Kitchen & Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Essen

I had dinner here 2 days ago. The terrace was not bad and the weather was perfect for sitting outside. Upon arrival I got the menu and the first thing I asked was if they also have it in english - the waiter said they don't. When I opened the menu it was also in english - lucky me. Then when the waiter came to take my order I ask her if the sushi can also be tempura and she also didn't know this so she went inside to ask someone. After waiting a little bit for the first waiter she just called the lady boss which is faster and obviously she knew what she was doing. The lady boss was a bit rough but she took my order and she came quite quick with the food. The food was absolutely delicious and it also looked really good. Got to enjoy this restaurant’s food several times a few days ago, at lunch and dinner time. The salmon nigiri sushis were perfect, tasted really good, and the noodles were also amazing, smelled like authentic Vietnamese food. (Writing this review makes me very hungry and now I want to order from them again right now btw.)

Their menu is impressive and offers a variety of vegan and vegetarian options, too. Everything is freshly cooked, and the presentation is always beautiful, with great care put in small details.

The staff is friendly and helpful. I also appreciated the fact they accept card payments, which isn’t that common among Vietnamese restaurants in Germany.

I was on a short business trip and came across this restaurant since it was only few meters away from where I was. The staff members were not friendly as he waitress kept saw us sitting for more than 13 minutes and ready to order but he totally ignored us. While ordering he didn’t have any patience as he ran to the other guests as soon as they entered the restaurant. To be honest the food was good. But because if their attitude I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant unless it’s your only option on your way. Would give them two start for the multilingual menu and the allergy awareness.
