PLUS A clear step menu, which enabled diners to creatively customise their meal. The ‘Fish Meatball’ was well-seasoned and had a crisp exterior, the texture however like the name was more reminiscent of poultry than fish. The ‘Peeled Potato Salad’ was both authentic and unique, delivering a sharp and tangy pickled flavour. Bold, creative dip selection. Strongly recommend the ‘Willy-Dip’. Service from Leif was professional, with a thoughtful first-time customer gesture. Reasonably priced.

MINUS Indoor dining space was limited and felt cramped. The dine-in ‘menu’ being solely in German overlooked the city’s cross-cultural character. It had a vegetarian section, but individual items lacked basic dietary symbols, standard in most modern restaurants. The restaurant could provide a QR code self-payment option at each table for quicker, hassle-free service.

You know you found the perfect place when the locals speak highly about what's cooking here: Yannick and his team managed to bring the best of the infamous "Fischbrötchen", Fish and Chips and take it to the next level. Their all home made dips, sauces and pickles are an absolute bliss with incredible eye for the detail. To top it all: they have successfully managed to combine the long standing traditional food and also make it available for vegans/veg. All their dips are vegan and so rich in taste yet so light. The place is beautiful cosy and welcoming and if I didn't live hundreds of kilometers away I'd probably make this my new go...

Ein schönes Restaurant mit vielen Außensitzplätzen. Die Nähe zur Hafenspitze ist zwar gegeben, aber aufgrund der Straße dazwischen sieht man eigentlich kaum was vom Wasser. Die Lage ist aber trotzdem angenehm und zumindest nach dem Essen konnte man schön am Hafen spazieren gehen. :)

Das Essen war sehr gut. Mein Highlight war die Stremellachs-Flöte, auf der frische Kräuter, Eingelegte Zwiebeln und sogar Sprossen mit drauf waren. Man konnte zwischen einem hellen und einem dunklen Brötchen wählen. Das Brötchen hat zwar mit 9,50 € einen stolzen Preis, aber dafür war auch ordentlich Lachs drauf, dem man seine frische angemerkt hat. Als zweites hatte ich eine kleine Portion von den Willy Klassisch Fish and Chips. Sowohl die Pommes als auch der Fisch waren sehr gut zubereitet und nicht so fettig, wie man es von den Schnellimbissen kennt. Auch der Rote Beete Dipp dazu war sehr erfrischend. Insgesamt fiel mir hier aber der Fischanteil auf dem Teller als zu wenig auf, auch für die kleine Bestellgröße. Dennoch sehr lecker und durchaus Empfehlenswert.

Die Bedienung war freundlich. Die Getränke waren immer flott da, aber das Essen hat etwas länger gedauert. Auch bei der Bezahlung musste ich länger warten, als nötig gewesen wäre. Aber hey, ich komme aus dem Einzelhandel und weiß, was ein überlaufener Freitag Abend bedeutet. Da mache ich bei sowas keine Vorwürfe. ;)

Insgesamt einfach ein schönes Ambiente mit einem jungen motivierten Team und frischem Essen. Besonders schön finde ich auch, dass vegane Fischalternativen angeboten werden. Auf jeden Fall einen...
