KRAPAO Thai Bistro — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Honestly, the food was tasty here, but the service was unbelievable bad!! You wait very long for the staff to come and take your order, and once you ordered you have to wait again and again to have your food. That's not the end! I have ordered the dessert, the staff even asked us if it should be served together with other dishes or seperately, but no one told us actually they don't have this dessert anymore until we asked to have the bill and want to take away the dessert. Fine! For the payment, we are only allowed to pay with cash, that's also fine! But when I give them 50 euro, please don't just take the money and run away WITHOUT give me back the change!!! When I asked her I should get the change back, she said she doesn't understand English, but my husband already repeated twice in German, she acted as she understood, but still ran away!! OMG!!! They just pretended to have the change as tips?! Or they really don't understand what customers tried to ask?! All in all, such a bad and unbelievable experience here! Definitely won't...

Es ist ein "gutes" Thai Bistro mit ein Paar Sachen worauf man aufpassen muss.

Es ist wichtig gleich am Anfang festzulegen: Preis-Leistung stimmt nicht. Es freut mich, dass andere Rezensenten hier auf Google Maps echt viel Geld haben (scheinen) und hierauf weniger Wert legen. Bei mir ist das definitiv nicht der Fall, weil ich sehr oft draußen esse und immer den maximalen Wert für mein Geld suche. Es gibt jedoch ein Paar Gerichte die so gut sind, dass sie das Geld wert sind.

-Positiv: Die Vorspeise "Sai Ua" ist einfach nur der Wahnsinn. Er kostet 9,50 EUR (vor zwei Jahren lag der noch bei 7,50 EUR, vor drei Jahren noch bei 6,50 EUR) aber ist immer noch das Geld wert. Allein deswegen lohnt sich schon hinzugehen. Der "Achanti-Tee" schmeckt sehr gut (siehe Foto unten)! Pad Kanah Moo Grob ist auch sehr lecker ist zum Empfehlen. Die Nachspeise Khao Niew Mamuang schmeckt auch sehr, sehr lecker und hat meine volle Empfehlung. Die Bedienung ist immer freundlich aber bei Stoßzeiten gerät sie echt an ihre Grenzen.

-Neutral: Der Rest der Speisen ist, meiner Meinung nach, durchschnittlich und nichts außergewöhnliches. Sie sind den relativ hohen Preis auch nicht wert. Getränke wie z.B. Tee für 3,50 EUR, sind überteuert.

Um das beste aus der Bistro mitzunehmen habe ich folgende zwei Vorschläge: Vor Ort Essen mit zwei Vorspeisen und eine Hauptspeise wobei man sich einen Tee teilt. Dann kommt man mit 35 EUR sehr gut aus der Nummer raus. Man bestellt die oben genannten Speisen zum Mitnehmen.

Almost authentic – the food has a slightly “Germanized” touch, but still close enough to real Thai flavors to make you happy. The noodle soup was rich and nicely presented, and the spring rolls were crispy and fresh.

Service was excellent and super friendly – just like in Thailand, warm and welcoming. The vibe is relaxed, with great outdoor seating, perfect for a summer day in Frankfurt.
