Nollywood Restaurant — Restaurant in Frankfurt

This restaurant is by far the worst one could ever visit outside the shores of Nigeria. The environment looks unkept and untidy. Service quality was close to none.

For my guest and myself, I ordered for goat meat pepper soup, white rice with tomato stew and turkey, jellof rice and plantain.

Food quality: the goat meat pepper soup seemed yellowish brown and watery. The taste had an exact reflection of the restaurant’s environment, sour! The white rice in our case was not white but pale brown. The explanation to that from the service lady was that, we were not her customer and we’re not used to how she dishes out white rice. She said - “I usually fry the white rice with onions and Maggi”. The stew and turkey were not any better. The stew very salty and tasteless and the turkey had some some kind of coloring inside, which indicated what should not be sold to customers.

The body language of the lady there wasn’t welcoming. She didn’t even ask for a feedback and posed kind of unconcerned.

Disappointing Experience – Needs Serious Improvement

I had high hopes for Nollywood Restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Given that there’s little to no competition for Nigerian cuisine in Frankfurt, it seems the owners have become complacent about customer service.

We waited over an hour to be served, with no updates or apologies for the delay.

No staff checked in to see if we were enjoying our meal.

When it came time to pay, we were simply told our total was €209, with no itemized bill provided until we insisted.

Upon reviewing the handwritten bill, we noticed the prices were inflated compared to the menu. When we questioned this, the owners casually dismissed our concerns, claiming the menu prices were outdated.

This level of service is unacceptable for any restaurant. If the owners want to succeed, they need serious retraining on hospitality, customer service, and transparent pricing. As it stands, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This restaurant is a perfect example of when a man married a very bad woman.

My first visit to the restaurant made me think the negative reviews weren't fair, little did I know that I had a bit of luck that day to meet the husband. He was so nice and polite even though I was defensive and expectant of the reviews I had read on here.

Mumu me! I lost my defense and I thought I was gonna be lucky today 😭.

There's nothing good about the wife's character, very rude!

And she was even gossiping other people on her unending telephone calls about "how a good woman that marries a bad man is better than a bad woman that married a good man". I said to myself "see person wey dey talk 😏", I even turned around to look for the camera because it could be a prank.

I don't know how the man has been doing it o, but God will continue to grant him the fortitude to bear his wife. 💪🏽
