Strandcafé — Restaurant in Frankfurt

I've been there thrice already, the first two times being in summer 2018. I love the sanwiches there and have always ordered sandwiches. They were really tasty and filling - so filling that I didn't need anything else the whole day other than a light snack in the evening. However the third time (Feb 2019) wasn't the same anymore. It tasted good but not as amazing as before, and it wasn't that filling either. I have no idea what changed there, but I preferred the older version of the sandwiches.

A cafe with a cozy crowded atmosphere for a evening out. Very friendly service making sure you're having a good time here.

What can be improved is their quality/price ratio when it comes to simple food, such as mint tea or cake. The tea was simply a couple of mint straws put vertically into a hot water, yes, basically that was it. The "nut & apple" cake as described by the waitress turned out to be a simple apple crumble, too sweet by the way.

We visited this cozy and neatly furnished cafe on new years day. Seems as we were lucky and directly got a seat, although most probably people were still sleeping :D the service was good, people were friendly although we waited a bit for the club sandwich.
