If You like vegetarian/vegan it's at least a choice, but not one we would really recommend. The tables are around an open and very noisy kitchen, so you are able to watch (and hear) everything happening there if you like (or not)... Unfortunately we did see (in our opinion) a little bit to much "unsanitary" behavior to feel completely happy with the food we just ordered. The "quinoa burger" was just mildly warm and without any bread or potatoes or... The cakes are served in pretty small sizes and were pretty expensive for not even being certified organic, too. The "normal" kitchen noise of e.g. the mixer got furthermore supported by a guy who throws every piece of silver ware with great enthusiasm into a box of other pieces. The last two tables at the wall beside the restroom-door should be avoided because the door is very close and opens in the direction of the tables which forces a lot of physical contact with the people using it and sends a strong smell in your direction every time it opens. Btw. even stated from some people otherwise, it's not certified...

I absolutely love the food and the staff is very diverse and friendly. However, the whole place would be better if they were the ones who owned the place because the owner of this cafe is a nightmare. Not only is she incredibly rude to her staff, she also orders her customers around in a very disrespectful manner.

One time I was eating there with my friends and instead of waiting until our table was empty (it would have taken us 10 minutes longer max), she told us(in an unfriendly tone) to stand up so she could fix the screws on the chairs. She also almost barked at me when I ordered food before drinks (which you both have to order at the same time so it would have made a difference of a few seconds???) I really have the feeling that she just enjoys dictating people around and making them feel lesser than.

Meals super tasty, but service even lower than the usual German service. Ordered 3 croissants with chocolate, 1 turned out to be without chocolate and when I returned it after a bite I was told no croissant with chocolate left. Ordered 3 belegtes brötchen (sandwiches) 1 turned out to be with another bread without even letting us know. Additionally, super expensive in comparison to other places in Freiburg. I believe they can do a better job as the meals were...
